Dreamwave's continuity, that's what I'm talking about. EM go to page 9 and you will see the picture.

In dreamwave, there is no explanition for where they got their Dino Alt modes from.

But on Cyberton before, they had vehical modes.

That was explaned during the Insecticon ark, Grimlock and co. came to earth looking for the Insecticons during the era of the Dinosours.

Wow, Grimlock and the others came to Earth over 65 million years ago... with Prime and the others leaving 4 million years ago, that means the current War Within series is set at least 61 million years ago. That was one very long war. :D

 

I don't think Dreamwave has yet explained how the Dinobots got their Dinosaur modes. (Seeing them in Earth's past fighting the INsecticons is NOT an explanation.)

 

 

As for the topic: I don't think Primal's fusion with Prime had anything to do with the creating/naming of the dinobots:

 

- cartoon: Wheeljack and Ratchet made them from dinosaur bones so the name dinobots is logical (could hardly call them rabbitbots).

- Marvel US comics: (Like Big Grim already pointed out) the Dinobots/Dynabots already existed and were already on Earth by the time of BW.

- Dreamwave: same as the US marvel comics.

 

Conclusion: Primal's fusion with Prime had nothing to do with the Dinobots. BW Dinobot probably got his name as a honorary reference to the one Autobot group the Decepticons/Predacons could respect.

Truth be told, I just picked an animal and since BWneo Stampy still cracks me up, I came with Rabbitbots/Rabbots

I know that silly. But I had to mention the Rabbot. ATHF will own3d us all.

scept that has an asnwer, the egg came first!

 

Chickens ancesters were dinos, so at one point there would of been a Chicken/Dino hybred, that would not be a chicken, but eventualy one of its desendents would(egg), and the mother of the decendent wouldn't be considered a chicken

 

so the egg camne first.
