SHOULD I KEEP IT IN THE BOX?

Recommended Posts

Sell the sealed Prime and Magnus and buy a set of opened ones. Both of those ones still fetch a good dollar then you will make back some of your money on your inital purchase and then when you get the opened ones you can feel not so bad about it because you did not open them yourself. Open the Hot Rod, they are worthless.

I'd open em. Eventually you will anyway. I have a gen 2 Prime from 92 that's been boxed since new, and last week *Gasp* I opened it. I figured I'll never sell it anyway because I'm collecting for keeps.

Hasbro Commemerative Series 1:

Optimus Prime

Ultra Magnus

Rodimus Major (Hotrod)

i bought them when the 1st series came out

they've been on my shelf for years now.

im wondering if im making a mistake in just leaving them in there.

Although they are the Commemerative series, will they be worth more in the future?

i need some expert opinions

thanks,

Purple-Bot

If you just want money and don't care about the toys, sell them now. You can get good money for the first 2 (great return on investment). If you want an open one open them because it's not worth the headache of trying sell them and by the used on IMHO, in the case of the 3rd one often goes above $30 but you might as well open it if you want the toy.

Open them. If you want investments, look somewhere else. With toy collecting a bigger thing these days then it was in the 80s, you would probably be dead by the time a deluxe MOSC Armada toy will be sold in triple digits. Besides, what's the fun in that?

DO NOT OPEN THEM!!

Instead, send them to me and let me open them! ;)

OPEN IT DAMN YOU!!!!!

enjoy!!

folks if you want to invest, get into stocks n mutual funds.

Posters keep saying they are not gonna go up in value cause they are reissues. They were $40 retail, now MISB Prime's go for $80-$100+. Magnus will fetch $75. Hot Rod isn't worth as much, but at $18 retail, he did go up as he'll now pull down $25-$30..

Opening them won't devalue them much, as long as you don't sticker 'em. Keep the boxes, and the unused sticker sheets and you could rebox them and sell them for a pretty penny later if you change your mind.

i got those 3 bad boys a lil while bak and i opend them as soon as i got back home from my journy from the train station......

my opionion is just open them and keep the guns and stuff with the boxes

Open it!!!!!! Why keep it in the box?!?!? We buy these things to transform, pose, and play with!!!!! If you want something that will increase in value, collect stamps or coins or something!
