To pose or not to pose?

Recommended Posts

when i buy a TF, i mostly go for posability

thats why i love alternators

of course i do buy others, but i just want stuff that would look good on my shelf

what are your favorite poseable bots?

and what else do you look for in a bot?

your buddy,

Purple-Bot

Poseability is one thing i like of today's toys. But when I buy a Tf i'm not looking for poseability all of the time. My first concern is that it's a fun toy, worth gettin or if it's not a reissue. Poseability it's important but not that importnat to me.

What I look for in a toy is mostly the fun factor. I don't look at the posability first. If the posability sucks or is mild, I just think "Hasbro could have done better, but what the hey, I'll work with what I have".

Though I do have to say this, the RiD TFs had probably the most posability ever. I can put Omega Prime in just about any [reasonable] pose. So that's that.

My favorite poseable TF's are...

Energon Sledge

Energon Treadshot

Energon Arcee

Energon Doom-Lock

Universe Skyfire??? (Forgot his name)

Alternators

G1s usually just sit there...so I try to arange them rows, but the later stuff, I always have them in some kind of kick ass pose. It's cheezy but I've even used Remy's page to get the poses. I mean if ya got it, Flaunt it.

Personally I look for cool-looking robot modes over posable robot modes.

If the transformation is crap I don't buy it, no matter how posable it is.

As far as favorites because of their ability to be placed in action poses?

Autobots

Energon Prime (Believe it or not, I do refer to the big one, but I've got Wing Saber attached as his arms and legs...it's my only defense and a poor one, but hey...I can make it look like he's dodging a bullet and firing the Requiem Blaster at the same time so :tftongue )

Energon Bulkhead

Decepticons

Energon Sharkticon

RID Megatron

Universe Nemesis Prime (Don't have the Japanese version from Beast Wars...Oh well)

I'd list my least favorites for action poses, but I started with G1 back in the 80's so that leaves quite a few that don't do *$#% in that catagory.

I love posablility. As a college student with booksshelves full of Transformers rather than books, I gotta have them look cool to at least kinda justify that!

I actually have pictures. I should try to resize those and post them some time...

My most recent purchase, Energon Sledge, is fantastic in the posability department.

My A-Nemisis Prime is busy weilding the Requiem Blaster repaint found with E-Magnus. Much bad-assery.

Poses are a bit overrated, I all for the looks. That's why I like Wingsaber and A Overload. Their looks are great! Combining is a close second.
