To pose or not to pose?

Recommended Posts

Posability is all I care about. The articulation of Beast Wars figures is what got me into serious collecting. I stopped collecting G1 reissues after Binaltech/Alternators were first shown. They were what I've wanted the G1 figures to be since I was a kid. Realistic cars that turn into fully articulate figures that can get in all the cool poses I saw on the show. I hate trying to reinact scene on the show or make up my own scenes and all my figures could do is rotate their arm up and down. If I was lucky.

Hell I've even got Amazing Spider-man 2's 18" figure after seeing all the poses he could get into on the box. That was the coolest thing ever. I repose him at work atlease once a week.

Ditto on the SPIDERMAN SUPERPOSABLE Rocking Very Hard!! :thumb I like using him as an artist maniquin. Great musculature.

I like articulation on my figures and as with Tman, BEAST WARS was what got me back into collecting. These were the toys that I have always wanted as a kid and now have got a good collection going. I can't see myself getting any of the G-1 figures since BINALTECH/ALTENATORS have been giving me what I have always wanted in G-1 AUTOBOTS. All TAKARA/HASBRO has to do now is produce a PROWL figure and I'll be the happiest person ever...and stopping the constant re-molding of all these figures. :tftongue

here are my favorite toys in terms of articulation.

Pretender shells

Actionmasters

Micromasters.

You can't beat such awesomeness

Personally I look for cool-looking robot modes over posable robot modes.

If the transformation is crap I don't buy it, no matter how posable it is.

Amen, brother.

Also, living in quake-prone California with most shelf space limited to actively used furniture (like dressers), the last thing I need is something that makes a toy more likely to fall over. So I generally avoid extreme poses.
