There's still at least one MP Rodimus sitting in my lcal TRU

For me this too late....guess its good if you still have the first 2 seekers....but I already sold my walmart ss when they first announced the new ss mold....I do still have a few skywarps...after buying the coneheads I will most likely pick up the newest MP SS.....still can't believe that they didn't put the arm communicators on the new mold....

 

IMHO I with how badly the MP skywarp sold at walmart...I just don't see this selling very well. But I will ssay if they release it like Rodimus....it will be a hunt for the decepticons.....XD

 

Walmart probably ordered way too many Skywarps to begin with to try and make a bigger profit than they did with Starscream who sold well.

 

I'll be glad to complete the US MP Trio. I'll put my Takara TC back in its both and put the Hasbro TC with the other Hasbro seekers

Skywarp was an example of supply and demand not following the law of supply and demand. Demand for Starscream was so high, I bet they figured it would be for Skywarp as well. So they obviously followed the law and offered more at a higher price, which backfired on them resulting in them going on clearance.

Grimlock and Rodimus as TRU exclusives were a bit of a fiasco. Remember how much Rodimus was going for on ebay initially? I didnt have a problem finding him eventually though. I only saw Grimlock once. Walmart Starscream was actually harder to find than both Grimlock and Rodimus in my area.

I cant wait for Thundercracker. The Takara color schemes were nice, but I prefer a toon accurate paint job - assuming the TRU Thundercracker will be.

Does anyone else think this could be a sign that the MP coneheads may be possible in the future? If they have enough faith in the line to release Thundercracker, and if it sells well enough, it could lead to them. It would be cool but I am not holding my breath.

 

heh...actually we're both wrong (although there are Concords in both states. It was actually in North Carolina.

 

I know, there's probably as many Concords as there are Springfields. I'm actually moving to Concord MA next week. I was excited to hear there was a TRU I didn't know about but when I hit the store locator it showed the Concord NH (they're only about 45-60 min from each other) I thought that was the confusion. Still I am disappointed there will be no TRU right down the road from me.

It wasn't too difficult to find Grim or Rod (oh Jugger Grimrod, I miss that character from Alien Legion), so this should be a SNAP.

 

TRU doesn't do much clearance stuff, Sky W was a Walmart thing and that's where it wound up on clearance.

 

I wonder if it's the MINI MP Prime, or the re-re-re-re release of the original MP?

As much as it would be cool that they would finally release the coneheads...I would say that won't happen. They're most likely trying to get the last bit of money from the old seeker mold before they start with the next set of seekers to release. I got into the masterpiece figures way after the walmart ss and op was released. I was able to find the MP Grimlock...but that was only because I went to the TRU everyday...Never found Rodimus....but I didn't try vey hard to get that one since he didn't have the trailer....I am actually glad I didn't find him, because I think I would have regretted it.. I have a feeling that they planned to do this..but it was low in their list, just like the generations thundercracker took how long to finally be released. Now what I still don't know is who is more popular Skywarp or Thundercracker?

Anybody know if there's an official release date on this guy?

Meh, I'd rather have all the seekers using the new MP-11 mold...

Also Takara would have to produce the coneheads before there's any shot at them showing up here, otherwise you'd have to stick to finding the Igear coneheads on ebay.

For me, if we're talking powers and abilities, I like Skywarp more. For personlity and depth of character, Thundercracker is better. At least in my opinion.

I was at my local TRU today, and they could not find him in their computers, so are we sure he is being released at American TRU's? We already know he is in the computers in the European TRU's.
