smoker smelling toys...

Recommended Posts

So i just bought a complete Scorponok off of ebay the other day and it smells horrible. I've been trying to let it air out but the smell is not going away I used some computer cleaning wipes on him this morning and that hasn't really helped the situation. I'm contemplating on febreezing the crap out of him.I'm not allergic to it but it's just gross. No offense to any smokers on here. I like most of you guys and i'm not trying to rag on anyone. Looking for help to make the smell go away.

I've used Fabreeze which has helped, I've also kept them away from the sun and wrapped them in baby wipes and that helped out.

I'd contact the guy & ask for some sort of refund. at the very least get enough refund money to help pay for cleaning supplies & your time+frustration to get rid of the smoke smell on your toy.

good call. It's currently in the garage hiding around boxes to keep it away from the sun. glad to know febreeze doesn't ruin toys.

I'm a smoker myself, but I don't smoke inside of my house because of that very reason. So I've had to figure out how to keep the smell out of things. Just don't over do the spray I would say once a day for 3 days should help along with the baby wipes

Try putting it in a plastic bin with an opened box of baking soda and seal it for a few days.....baking soda kills damn near every odor...

I smoke. In the house too. Not in the room where my TFs though, and plus they are mostly either in their packaging or behind glass. My wife uses that room as her study however...

An easy way for smokers to avoid this sort of customer action (in regards to requesting a partial refund) would be to just say it came from a smoking home.

Or you could take up smoking Puma. Believe me you wont even be able to smell the smoke after awhile.

:tflaugh Its funny because its true!

Besides baking soda (Febreeze wouldn't be my first choice), apples and coffee grounds work well too.
