Hasbro has unleashed their press release to mark their appearance at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, revealing the panel schedules, all of the prices for the exclusives, and shows that they are putting a lot of force behind their KRE-O building-block line. The Transformers exclusives are G.I. JOE Sky Striker Vehicle w/ Starscream Deco and 3.75" Cobra Commander Special Edition Figure ($49.99), Transformers: Dark Of the Moon Special Edition Ultimate Optimus Prime ($79.99), and Transformers Prime Optimus Prime First Edition Figure ($19.99). Hoping to snag that Matrix Prime. Also hoping to get MP Rodimus from TRU. That should be it as far as TF stuff goes. Maybe I'll pick up that Ultimate Op, IDK. All depending on funds.

i wish this were the way ultimate prime were packaged for the store release. i think it's the only way i'd get it. but hopefully they'll show some awesome stuff that'll make me want to save my money.

 

i'm hoping to see or hear these figures announced.

 

deluxe- soundwave, dino, que, leadfoot, and the two other dreads (with the same suburban vehicle mode as crankcase)

 

voyager- nothing really, i'd like to see a new ratchet mold.. but that's probably out of the question. what a bummer. i liked him in all three movies, and his design is very cool, but none of his figures ever quite got his look right. it's a shame.

 

leader- i REALLY REALLY want to see a megatron. a megatron with a movie accurate gun, and a kick ass cloak. and shockwave, shockwave would be cool.. just as long as the robot mode is more accurate. i'd rather them sacrifice the alt mode for the accuracy of the robot mode. but really.. i want a megatron.

 

human alliance- i'd personally like to see all of the cars in the movie get the human alliance treatment. but i really hope we see soundwave. we need an armored topspin, i'd also like to see dino, que, i also wish we'd get an audi accurate sideways. and if we have to get yet another human alliance bumblebee.. i hope his mold has been updated to be more accurate, and hopefully he'll have an accurate paint scheme.

 

with all that said. i hope the stuff that we see looks good, and is accurate to their cgi models.

Has anyone actually bought the KRE-o sets? Is there going to be a review? I am wondering what the sizes are for the head sculpts. I would pick up a few of these kits if I had some comparisons of the heads. I wanna see the difference between the little sets and the larger sets. Anyone have the ability to show what the head looks like next to a Deluxe and Voyager figures? Thanks! :D

i own large optimus, megatron, starscream, and bumblebee kre-o's. those are all of the larger figures. i don't own any of the smaller ones.
