Why do display all your tfs in robot mode only?

Recommended Posts

I've been looking at your collections and it seems most of you display your collections as robot-mode only. I was just wondering why that is. I pick which mode I think looks best and I go with that. I mean, they are transformers. Having robots that never transform would be like... Armada or something.

space is a large deciding factor... shelf space is hard to come by when you have a large collection. so the more vertical the better

as for my collection, the ones on display alternate between modes, if one is in 'bot mode, they are all in bot mode, if one is in alt mode, they are all in alt mode, provided space is accomadating

a few of my TFs are in alt-mode. Fortmax, Spychangers, Hunn-grr, and Slag are in Alt mode, along wiht ALL my terrorcons.

I have some in alt form due to shelfspace, and i also prefer to display em in robot mode. Beter for dinamic posing and dioramas

plus i like standing my autobot army on one side of my dresser and the decepticon army on the other side like they are about to fight, occasionally ill lay one down like he already got shot

I think people think that the robot mode is cooler. If they wanted to see a bunch of cars they would collect hot wheels or something. Not being a smart ass but its the same with BWs the real looking beasts are in robot mode, but like with the terrocons they look like robots beasts so they might keep them in their alt mode.

Robot mode saves space most of the time. Plus they are robots first and whatever else second, at least in my mind.

The few that I have on display vary between modes. Most are kept in boxes in the closet and I break them out and play with them. I'd rather play with them than display them. The enjoyment for me is in the actual transformation.

This sums up my opinion.

The only ones I used to display with any regularity in alt-mode were the BT/Alts, but since there are around ten of them now, pretty much robot mode all the time.
