Beast Machines Arcee (WIP)

Recommended Posts

She's coming along, slowly but surely. So far, I have most of her body parts painted white, and have started doing detail work on others.

Her head is finished, along with her spider body. The light-piping plastic in her head and the spider's head are now clear (darkish) blue.

Looking great. What paint are you using for your kitbash. It looks airbrushed. :tftongue

Testors flat white spray enamel to make her body white. Mostly Testors model paints, plus a clear blue from Model Master and the pink is "Faskolor" by Parma International, Inc (www.parmapse.com).

I need to pick up some clear red for those circles on the spider body (TFU had purple to match her Decepticon symbol, so Arcee needs red to go with her Autobot symbol. :)).

I should've used Krylon Fusion spray paint to paint the body parts, 'cause it's supposed to "bond with plastic", which the Testors definitely didn't. (I put one of her arms together to test the joints, and the white came right off the balls and sockets. :redface)

And speedbullit... you -might- wanna crank down the size of that attached image, dude..

For Primus' sake, Speedbullit, STOP POSTING PICTURES. It has nothing to do with the thread and you're merely wasting people's bandwidth.

I had hoped you had finally stoped a while back when you got a real signature pic, but this is going too far.

(Sorry, I've been waiting months to say that)

Anydangway, the repaint is an interesting idea. I never really got the botcon repaint, but I think this one is looking good in the same style.

The thing with Testors is that they have alot of nice sparkly colors to choose from.

The trick is to use a Krylon Fusion satin white base coat, then put a thin layer of Testors over it...it usually ultra bonds with the Fusion....
