I was wondering, do you take your figures out of their packages or do you keep them in the packages?

I take them out. Not much point in buying them otherwise IMO.

I know of some that keep them in the packages for value, but to me, I would rather see them out and in robot form.

I normally take them out of the package, but some I leave MISB or MIB. Not for value sake, but because of space. Most that I leave MISB or MIB are the ones from Japan.

Once I get a bigger more permanent house then I will be able to take them out of their packaging

I would take them out of the package, but any duplicates I'll keep them in the box. Hopefully, when I get a job a few years, I may get two of everykind of Transformer I try to buy. One to open and one to store. That way, if there's a time where I need some money, I can sell the MISB on eBay for some cash when needed.

Nothing new is worth keeping in the package.

That's my thought at well. All the new stuff I open right away. There is no sense in keeping it boxed up since there is so much of it to come by these days. I will admit that I do keep some of the boxes like the Reissue G1 figures that keep rolling out etc. Otherwise, the only thing I will keep from the figure is the instructions.

BUT if you let it sit for 5 years (which times goes by quickly as your grow old) then its not new anymore. ;) I used to buy 2 of everyone. All the way up to transformers classics and the live movie, but since have started buying only one. It saves a shit load of space and even then i dont get around to opening all of them. Some toys like Star Wars and GIJoe i dont really ever open otehr then a select few. transformers are different.

Nothing new is worth keeping in the package.

I do that too; it's why I really don't mind that Hasbro's toy packaging is boring, it stops me from saving them.

I take out my TFs out of package, but I have a few chase/variant Mattel Movie Masters MOC
