Proof of concept

Recommended Posts

I have a dream that Hasbro will start an in scale collectors line that re-imagines the characters from the G1 cartoon with modern functionality and give me the same feeling that Masters of the Universe Classics gives me. So I've been thinking, we already have a handful of figures that are perfect or nearly perfect. So what figures do you consider to be perfect or that almost there proof of concept figure?

for me:

MP Optimus Prime -> shrink it down

MP Megatron -> shrink it down

MP Grimlock -> shrink it down

MP Hot Rod/Rodimus -> shrink it down

Classics Hound -> more accurate frontend

Classics ravage

Classics Cyclonus

Modded KO Soundwave(frenzy_rumble) -> shrink it down

Jizai Wheelie

jizai powerglide

Classics Seekers

Generation Jazz

This is my long-term goal too; to be able to display a G1 toon line-up. Looks like HasTak will actually get pretty close at the Classics/Generations deluxe scale AND in legends scale too.

But personally I'm trying it do it large scale, currently using

MP Optimus Prime

MP seekers

MP Megatron

Modded KO oversize Soundwave with G1 cassettes and Device Label Ravage

(G1 Shockwave fits in pretty well here too)

Alt Hound

Alt Silver(Blue)streak

BT Red Alert as Prowl

Alt Tracks

Alt Nemesis Prime as Trailbreaker

Alt Smokescreen

Classics Cliffjumper

Jizai Powerglide

Jizai Wheelie

...and various other custom repaints, kitbashes and mods.

There are also figures that I'd like to see resized to match, such as a giant version of Classics Jetfire to tower over MPOP, Alt-size Generations Jazz, and an Alt-size version of the third party Arcee (either one, but I'd prefer the MGT version).

I'm sorry but from what I've seen that blurr is not the IDW design, unless there is an earth mode which hasn't been posted online.

The head is the part that is IDW designed

This is exactly the stuff I don't like. A head placed on a random model. Why not just make the whole figure accurate?

except the classics seekers arent really as good as they could do. The mold is dated and not that posable.; My two cents,.

:agree

Seekers should be Voyagers. I like the mold dated or not. Gen Blurr is a cool mold never understood dislike for this mold.WFC Soundwave should be a Voyager.
