Kapow Toys' Red Leader reports that TakaraTomy will be introducing Hasbro's Transformers Generations toyline to Japan in December 2010. Titled Transformers United, the line is a spiritual successor to the Henkei! line, like Generations is to Universe. Read more. Read the Full News Story Here

Great now I am seeing the game intro as the start of a Football match (no not Hand-Egg)

I was thinking Justice League Unlimited myself. The opening sequence, but with Generations toys standing there during the music.

No doubt 6, 7, and 9 are the G1 Legends figures since Japan doesn't number things based on size or price point, but release order.

Hmm, I wonder how that Cliffjumper looks.

Does his mean that Takara's Drift will have solid plastic swords? Then count me in.

Since Takara doesnt usually have their Legends in the mainline numbered with the deluxes, plus in the henkei! line they had 2, 4 packs of them and not single releases, im doubting that 6 7 & 9 are legends. HOPING for new molds of Optimus Prime and Megatron (hopefully voyagers!) for a long time now. We'll see. I guess it could be our classics 2 pack dlxs', or even redecos of the old voyagers. :shrug

Almost right. there were two different packs of 3 figures. one pack was warpath, wheelie and cosmos, and the other was Cliffjumper, Brawn and beachcomber. I have both sets and I believe they were numbered actually

That was certainly true before, but considering they're incorporating Activators into the rest of the Animated line I really wouldn't rule it out. It's not like Takara has a habit of making new molds, just repaints, but would they actually repaint/reissue Henkei figures?

I would certainly like to be wrong, though, I'm always open for new versions of these characters!

That's actually not a terrible name. I kind of like it.

And Straxus keeps his orignal name, can't wait to see their exclusives
