Rogers himself dropped us a note with his two cents: "Mr. Spielberg is producing and heavily involved in the film's development.  It'll be true to the source material with a nice, light touch, a cast of human characters partnered with the Transformers, and big robot action.  I mean, c'mon, they're paying me to write giant robot battles.  I'm no otaku, but that's a good day in any geek writer's life. Anyone worried that we won't honor the source material can rest easy."

Considering he's working with a script written by Tom DeSanto, who said he preferred the Marvel comic to the Sunbow cartoon...

someone tell me that he has a clue... watch we will get an artist statement that ends..."till all are one"..... has he seen the orginal movie? How old is he anyways? what was the last toy he bought...does he have kids...

I had forgotten about the Catwoman movie until I saw this news.

I ain't buying it Mr. Rogers! Your work thus far is subpar, I have no reason to take your word for anything. I am not harsh, Rogers will be incorporating a good portion of the films with puny humans. Most fans do NOT give a fork about the humans, it is called TRANSFORMERS not humans coexisting with big robots. Rogers you are damn right when you said you are not an otaku, you are not even worthy of the title.

 

As with many things in life, you got the earn the trust of the people you are trying to gain business from. And for the record Spielberg's name means shatner to me as well. I don't care if Disney himself reincarnates today and works on the film, it doesn't mean a damn thing to me if they water the core elements of the TF mythos down, just to draw in a greater audience. And I am willing to bet good monies they can and WILL.

 

If the script is great then other aspects will fall into place, the hardest part is crafting a good story with characters the audience gives a fork about and is willing to watch/pay for. Prove my valid concerns wrong Mr. Rogers and Spielberg too!

 

Lastly, as a consumer I do not remotely apologize for my demanding demeanor, I only buy and support quality products. If this film is crap I will express no gratitude simply b/c they are making a TF film, you certainly are not doing me a favor releasing a subpar film.
