Have you ever had a pet destroy a Transformer figure?

one thing to keep in mind when you get a dog. try to size it for where you live.

That cute German Shepard puppy may not seem like alot but when it's pushing 75lbs at a year, thats alot of work. That animal is pure muscle and energy with a rambunctious juvinile mind.

I live in an apartment with only a little yard space. so Phil being about 35lbs is a nice size.

Not to big, not to small. When I move and have more space Phil is getting a brother. I can do so here, but feel it would be to cramped and thats not fair to the animals or me.

To many people when picking a dog forget, THEY GROW!

Greyhounds are awesome, but I recommend people who like that type of dog in my area look into a whipit. It's a smaller version, that even still, you'll never catch.

I look forward to seeing that custom!!!

Good advice Liege.

My one gripe about dog owners are that it always pisses me off when people own Huskies/Malamutes in urban cities. These dogs are made to run around and expend lots of energy since they are "work" dogs, not sit in a apartment or house all day or run around in some tiny backyard in some suburban neighborhood. On top of that, it also pisses me off when people own Huskies/Malamutes in semi-desert environments like in Southern California, where I live. The hot weather is not an environment meant for Huskies/Malamutes. Every time I see someone walking one of their Huskies/Malamutes in my area of town, I always get pissed and mumble under my breath how they are abusing the animal by owning these dogs down here in San Diego. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do except feel sorry for the dog. Btw, in case you didn't know, Huskies/Malamutes are my favorite breed of dogs. I don't own one, but if I did, I am definitely going to give it a right home: big backyard in a cooler/milder climate to live in such as Colorado. :)

I had a huskie mix when I lived in Vermont.

I hated giving Speezer up, but I knew NJ (and at the time hoping for Florida) wouldn't bode well for him, so I left him with My friend George who lived across the mountain.

You have to keep in mind your enviorment when getting a pet. If you don't have enough room for it to burn off it's energy, it will get stir crazed and that can lead to destructive behavior.

Even a dog like Phil, I know he's mostly a beagle, hence he's a hunter/tracker. On a daily basis I have to give him time to endulge that instinct.

Long walks, lots of outside time so he can find the toys I hid...

It's a pain in the ass sometimes, but hey, I brought him here, it wasn't his idea.

On the same extreme alot of people think the smaller the dog the more it's suited for urban/suburban life. Not true, Poodles, Pomeranians, Myorkies, or any of the small breeds need just as much if not more run time.

Theres three reasons why a small dog yaps alot.

-it's underexcersized and restless

-a Napolian complex and they have to exude dominace to compensate for their size

-poor training which is a combination of not adressig the first 2 reasons properly

Alot of people I know don't properly dicipline their dogs because they think they're size makes them inoffensive. I don't care how cute that thing is, you have to do it. A small dog is more likely to bite you then a larger dog, the catch is, the larger dog will do actual damage if it does :tfevil

- a friend of mine just called me, told me he's relocating and has a 2yr old Pit who needs a good home. Dog looks to be about 65lbs and needs a home fast if anyones intrested.

Greyhounds? to play with them is practically useless as they overheat too quickly its practically the Xbox Ring O Death dog.

Awww that makes me sad

My cat's knocked down some TFs before. I've had some joints snap in two because of this. Now, whenever I see her prowling on my shelves I grab her by the scruff and bop her nose.

Maybe I would be a good Greyhound owner then...My 360 is going on 3 years and has yet to R.O.D. even once. :P

one of my cats tried to chew the head of my dark knight hot toys batman. i stopped her quickly so she didn't do much damage.

the cats don't really play around with my figures.. they just LOVE to jump and climb on my shelves, which knocks my figures over, sometimes my figures go through the domino effect.. which is quite annoying, but i have yet to have a figure break from falling.

Catz are easy to keep off shelves. They will not jump on something if they know there's no room for them to land/stand on. :yay But if there's room they'll jump every time and bowl shit over til' they're happy.

Could be a problem if you don't like crowded shelves. Never been a problem here as I never have enough room to display everything.
