Though I would honest to Primus sit through the third movie 5 times if Shockwave kills both the Autobot Twins, that would be worth the ticket alone :beer

A-freakin-MEN! :thumb

Honestly, Shockwave is perhaps my favorite Decepticon and although I am excited as hell to see him in the movies, I'm more excited at the possibility that we will finally see his toy re-issued due to his inclusion in the film.

Maybee Prime and his bro team up agianst this guy..

For Shockwave (whom I'm absolutely ecstatic that he's in the movie), I hope they use the design from the game for the first movie. That was an f-ing awesome design. Plus a triple changer to boot. A helicopter, a ground cannon and a robot. Just simply awesome. A giant space gun is not really a good fit for the movie-verse.

As for the space race thing, does anybody remember the novel prequel for the first movie. Ghosts of Yesterday. Megatron was reverse engineered and used to design a special shuttle/rocket that propelled some American astronauts far beyond our solar system to some point in space where the Autobots and Decepticons from the first movie were and a battle ensued between them and the humans died, but in the course of events, both parties learned of the location of both the Allspark and Megatron. Good read. The reason the space race is involved is because there's some KGB sabatoge when the American's are trying to transport Megatron's body (and he briefly comes back to life in the early part of the book only to be rendered inert once again).

about freaking time Bay does something right it only took how long and finally it's back to the whole Russia vs America movie plots again instead of just Call Of Duty Modern warfare 1&2 doing it koodos :win

Shockwave as main villain?.....FUCK YEAH!

^This.

So with the way Bay treats his main villian in every movie, does this mean Shockwave will spend the whole movie frozen in a block of ice, then thawed out to be killed, or stuck in a chair the whole movie, only to get released and killed?

BTW - A Bay Transformers movie in 3D, what a great way to make it give me an even bigger headache. PASS.

I understand how people can be excited; I was saying last summer after the movie came out that Shockwave needs to be a villain in the next one. I'd like to see him with at least a hint of that "Cruel Mad Scientist" persona he had in some of the comics, and possibly betray Megatron initiating some kind of "Team Up".

That said though, even if that IS what happens, my interest in the movie franchise is too dead for a shot of adrenaline of even that magnitude to revive it I fear. I can understand how I COULD get excited... I can see how others are excited, and I could probably be excited if I wanted to, but... I just don't want to set myself up for another let-down. Better to dislike Bay, and be pleasantly surprised if he pulls through than go through the pain of disappointment yet again, IMO, so pardon me if I continue to be frosty about the film until it comes out. :shrug

Maybe he'll have a face this time?

Heh, he'll probably have the face Starscream SHOULD have had just to tick you off. :tflaugh

Thats the whole reason Shockwave DOESNT deserve royalties like that. Starscream is more popular and was still ruined
