Are the energon combiner's limb's interchangeable?

Recommended Posts

Sorry, but that's just messed up. It reminds me too much of Power Rangers Wild Force, where different Wild Zords could attach to different Megazords, though they may not have been with the initial Megazord. What I mean is that the Giraffe Zord is primarily for the Isis Megazord, but could attach to the Kongazord, the Predazord, and the Wild Force Megazord. This is just like saying that the main Aerialbot can combine with a tank, a helicopter, a bulldozer, and a crane, and other way around with the other guys.

Yes. The joints for combining the figures are common to both gestalts...

In the show, they have a single configuration, and they stick with it. The individual limbs never transform, either...Superion, Buildtron, and Bruticus are Transformers who's alt mode is splitting into 5 vehicles, each...

Heck the G1 combiners were the same thing, I don't see the problem in making stuff that combine with each other. The autobot powerlinx robots have great articulation too but they combine, don't think we should be worrying so much about these things

As of yet anyway. We still have yet to see if they do or don't. Remember, we may not see them in their robot modes, if any, until later. So just hang tight. If Takara/Hasbro designed them to have robot modes, then I'm sure they'll incorporate it into the show somehow. Because don't forget, that the TV series are based on figures that are worth putting into a storylike setting. So if they've already incorporated the combiners, and the combiners transforms separately, then I'm sure they will in the show. :thumb

The existence of a mode isn't important. The Dinobots seldom transformed to robots in the third G1 season, and I think it was pretty rare for Springer to take his car mode. And they probably have more total appearances in terms of episode numbers than the Combiners.

Writers use what works in the storyline.

I'd actually like to see them mix up limbs, because it would mean the factions need to merge forces for storyline purposes. At the very least, the G1 combiners would cross teams for Scramble City settings, and I know I saw at least one official art piece of Motormaster with Bruticus' limbs in the Generations book.

That's besides the point. The point I'm trying to make is that although the Dinobots rarely assumed robot mode in the third season, they still did do so. The same with Springer assuming his car mode. All I'm saying is that they'll probably do this with the new Enerogn combiners, just rarely. like with the Dinobots in Season 3 of G1. That's all I'm saying. :roll :roll :roll

If anything, it'll just be once like Battle Ravage did if at all. It would have been way too many characters to give devolpment to anyway (not that character devolpment has been SL's strong suit)
