Superlink has 9 episodes left...In the last episode, one of Buildtron's limbs got upturned during an attack by Kicker, and he just sat there in crane mode, sitting on his roof because he couldn't turn himself over. To me, this states that the writers have no intention of showing their robot modes.

Heh, never thought about that when I saw that clip, good observation :thumb

 

It really is an interesting concept when you think about it: instead of being a bonus the combined mode is the main attraction while the smaller robots are a bonus
