BT/ALT Decepts

How tall is Shockblast and Dreadwing compared to the Alts. Shockwave never had an Earth form nor Scourge. I Really want Shockblast and Dreadwing so I was thinking I could just pretend they are Shockwave and Scourge.

I'd still like to no about this with out creating a new thread.

I think they should stick to roughly the same size bots and just put the scale on the packaging. It works for my G1 Jazz and Starscream.

Starscream would be taller than Fort Max at 1:24 scale. That would bother me even more if I actually HAD a Fort Max, though... Regardless, varying scales is fine, as long as they are to scale at a popular scale size, to look good with other models for displaying in Alt mode. Most model builders display 1:24 cars with 1:64 or whatever jets. Hell, you have a hard time finding a Die Cast H2 in 1:24, they're all scaled down to 1:27, so as to be the same size as the 1:24 vehicles in the same lines. I see no problem with bringing this convention over to the Alt lines. Screw Binaltech, I can't afford those anyway. :)

You guys are all idiots. The brain should tell you that all that matters is scale and show accuracy. Why you think personal preference matters far beyond me.

hey, c'mon. you're ruining this guy's thread.

Scale should not matter. Nor would it be feasible in any way... Hopefully, Has/Tak starts releasing some proper Decepticons, though, because the Alternator line is already starting to look a little boring. They're great, and I'll keep buying them, but there's only so much you can do with cars.

I say do some 1/48 MP seekers (about Prime's height seems right to me), and do any other planes in 1/72 scale. 1/35 is a good scale for a tank Megatron. The nice thing about these scales is that they are established within the model community, like 1/24 is for cars, so they still 'fit' with the Alternator mentality.

The problem you run into is that Alternators are supposed to have realistic alt modes, whereas a silver or grey tank is a bit of stretch, as is a blue or purple fighter, although you could find ways to justify them...

True, but they could always start with Starscream...

For other good examples of realistic versions of TF's, check out the artist's thread on Don Murphy's official TF movie board...
