I woke up thinking about Transformers, as I often do, and thought to my self how fantastic some of the new Fan Made TF upgrades and such have become. Especially some of the things that Hasbro/Takara SHOULD HAVE DONE.

 

Recapping a a few, we have the Classics/Universe Magnus armor set, WST seeker set, and even new improvements to G1 Devestator upgrade set and the Ironhide/Ratchet head sets (something I came up with years ago). Then there are the new upgrades to Classics/Universe Bruticus set, I mean really, we get 2 totally new merge bots, and other classic characters like Springer and the eagerly awaited Arcee that looks and transforms like the original character, oh wait we had someone make those before, someone else is making different ones soon? What ever, can't find the blasted TRU version, it's not quite right anyway so I'm getting the custom!

 

This one I just thought of is crazy. Back in the day, Takara made us the STARS play set, cardboard ARK scene. Then some fan decided to laminate it, I think to metal or plastic, which was even better. And NOW we have the new teletran set that is a total 3D authentic set. Freaking amazing.

 

Granted, Takara/Hasbro HAS done some great jobs at reviving some of the old school characters. None of this Transformer stuff would even be possible with out the brilliant minds at Takara/Hasbro.

 

Some of the new tech they are using for transforms and pose-ability is simply fantastic! I think we are well past the days of Brick Bots and I thank primus for that. Most noteworthy of some of their best work (movie bots do not count for any of this) all the classics/universe toys. Fixing the Powerglide color problem with the Walmart exclusive. Masterpiece toys. The few WST toys we did get. THS prime. The Energon combiners, cept the 2 twin cop out. Classics Cosmos. Ok maybe movie Bludgeon, and many more.

 

SO. What's still missing? What can Takara, Hasbro or the FANboys and girls make that has yet to be made?

 

The top of my list that I woke up to was a Dinobot Merge team. Not quite like that wacky comic book mutant thing, a good one. And if we are going there, why not a new Predaking? There's been some really good custom sets of these out there, and there is that new Mini KO set, which just down sizes Predaking into normal G1 merge team size, which is totally cool. Take the dang mini version, throw in some better joints and I would be very happy.

 

I honestly wish we had some more G1 parts makers. There are so many broken Seeker jets and cars out there that could be at least good to be reworked as a custom. How hard would it be to make a standard set of seeker jet wings and fists. Sure it'd be great to have new arms and hips, maybe the whole legs, which could let us hybrid out seeker bodies into a better than classics toy.

Leader class Skyfire? (what the hell is Leader class? When did this happen? BIG Skyfire!)

Another Unicron? Seriously, movie Unicron for TF3? But not too alien looking? and if it does get made and is a real Alien looking piece of... someone come up with an upgrade for at least the head? Please do not make the Fallen with Unicron's body. Please? no. not that.

 

KO makers, could you maybe make a MasterPiece sized Swoop? That would be cool. Not all junky rainbow colors, original colors. Master makers could slap on some ball and socket joints to the arms, head and legs nad PRESTO, perfect MP Swoop.

 

Ramble on. What else could be made?

I'd be happy with just an Encore Fortress Maximus.

I'd love some generic 'anyone can use then' weapon packs that don't cost a small fortune.

 

Even if they just packaged already made guns swords and what not.

^YES! and hopefully not just crappy, oversized missile launchers. Something like the new ironhide, minus the ironhide

yeah. Why couldn't they package something like that in a Sigma6 style case that could act as a storage case to up the anti.

 

I'd like some gun packs. Even if they only sold them through HTS to prevent peg warmers, I'd be happy.

 

I can't see it happening, after all Hasbro tacked a huge price tag on just the Energon weapons when they resold them at Botcon.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing this company handle the issue though

I've boght from them before. Top quality at very very afordable prices. Sadly they only tend to work in the 3.75 scale on average.

granted it's small, but that only makes the detail even more difficult. It's an origional custom design, multimodular unit, and it's only $1.99!?!

That is awesome. Those guns have so much tiny detail.

 

What's the plastic quality like?

What's exactly keeping these guys from making custom guns for TFs? They get enough business from Joes customs?

New Sea Spray fits the mold of what I was looking for. I like the fact they are taking some of the minibots and making new versions at true size. G1 Powerglide was fun, but he was smaller than the Seekers, when in real life they are about the same size. He should have been a bruiser, one bot with the cone head against the other 3 cone head seekers.
