BotCon brochure up

Recommended Posts

Cybcouncil,

Membership prices have NOT gone up. It's always been $40. A ten dollar increase over last year amounts to a two dollar increase per toy which is exactly what we've seen at retail. It's a 3.4% increase. Deluxe figures have gone from $9.99 retail to $11.99 in the last year. That's a 20% increase.

Long story short (too late!) prices go up.

And if you notice in retail they all have to come back down cause the market doesn't support it. If people keep defending the club they will go up as much as they want whenever they want. And lets be honest what does the club really offer then false promises. On the club site they said that folks were told of a $10 increase for online ordering. Shouldn't they already have that? Heck I know mom and pop sites that have that option. Heck their site looks like a freebie site and forum from webs.com. I guess Im just glad that I won't be buying this years set. Saved up the cash for it but after the junk they seem to always pull Ill just use that money to get some stuff from Fan projects. They actually make Toys I want.

I'm pretty happy with my club membership and have been. It defiantly pays for itself come BotCon.

brochure still needs work. i'll submit questions for their faq. what's fully included in packages and walk-up prices ain't crystal clear. i could care less about the exclusive toys. just wanna be able to fully immerse myself in the botcon experience. luckily, i live here in orlando so the pre-con tour, discount hotel, and disney ticket prices are useless to me. i'm kinda surprised they haven't set anything up with other companies to take advantage of the extra people coming into town for the weekend; possibly to stay beyond just the weekend. like smaller attraction, restaurant, and shopping discounts for those who have already done disney or don't care about it or even can't afford it. maybe a private party for us botconers in a banquet hall. this is orlando, people. what they can do here for themselves and for us, if they want to, is practically limitless.
