Energon Slugslinger

Recommended Posts

I finally picked up E. Slugslinger. Two words, LOVE IT! I used to have the original Targetmaster Slugslinger as a kid but it was stolen along with other G1 toys. Anyway, I always loved the twin cockpits on the original. This toy captures the coolness of the original, plus some. As with most G1 toys, the original was a brick. This Slugslinger looks awesome, plus has great posability. What can I say? I LOVE IT!

This toy is definitely worth the $10. It is now my favorite Energon toy. It puts E. Starscream in the dust by far, if for no other reason than that badass twin cockpit jet mode.

The Diesel's rating: Two thumbs way up! :thumb :thumb

:pfx One of the best figures in the line. Another funny thing- while G1 'Slinger was a brick, he was still more poseable than 90% of the G1 figures up to that point. He and Misfire both had some of the better leg and arm articulation at that time.

You're right. I do seem to remember him having more articulation than most of my other Transformers.

I love the figure myself...one of the cooler transformations as well. Also would look good with the "universe" treatment of inverting the colors I'd bet

he's awesome, I just wish his shoulder joints were tighter

It's not the shoulder joints as much as the pegs that hold the shoulders to the torso... I can get them to stick, maybe, sometimes.. but it looks like there is some soft plastic there that should've been harder.

It's up there, yes, probably in the top 5 of my Energon toys.. but not the top one.. that is a decision I don't make lightly.

Yeah, it's hard for me to say which one is my number one favorite, because a lot of them have their own dynamic.

Cyclonus and Scourge were also fairly poseable, along with Galvatron.

Slugslinger is my second favorite behind Landmine. Love everything about Slugslinger. Just noticed yesterday, in fact, how cool his "two-face" head is.
