Transformers Generation 3???

Recommended Posts

Do you think it is about time for a new Toy line dubbed Generation 3? I think in the next 5 years it could be possible. But possiblility is all terminology stuff.

I got the idea after watching ROTF. I told myself that the true Generation 2 of Transformers was redesigning the original Generation 1 Toys and inserting them into the original generation, which would make Starscream more poseable on the tv series. Thats really the difference I like to know between Generation 1 and 2, which is just poseability in the toys and cartoon. Starscream could never really sit as a toy. With the upgrade in the original toy would make Generation 2 right? And not the other G2?

But yeah, Generation 3 would follow in my eyes a decepticon path maybe instead of a autobot path? Ya' know the origin of the Decepticon path? I think this could happen after Transformers 3 the movie or part 4? But there won't be part 4 most likely.

How do you think Transformers could end in a Generation? I had a idea way back where Optimus is dead and loving it, lol, but Starscream and Hot Rod combine together to save there civilization. Starscream would be a car, same with Hot Rodimus. It would be good, because Starscream would always call Hot Rodimus a boy in his eyes. Unlike Megatron that just wants to rule power, Starscream is a little more versatile in doing the wrong type of thing, so the fate of that makes the fate of him teaming up with Hot Rod.

All I can say is...what? :tfhuh

As for there needing to be a "Generation 3"? Nope. As far as the storyline goes, Beast Wars COULD be considered G3, as it both alluded to elements from, and followed, both G1 and G2.

:yay I'm not the only one who kinda went :wtf then? lol

let the pot settle befor you go on. That was just to all over the place.

Starscream can't sit, but there's 2 Generation 2s and he's a spiritual falcon?

Just slow it down man...

Mmmm-Kay... If I could've followed that it would have hurt my brain !!!

My mom says I'm not supposed to talk to you :)

Since Hasbro seems to consider Generation 2 a bust for homages in Universe, I doubt they would use the words "Generation 3" for anything. They know stuff with "Generation 1", "Animated" and "Universe" on it sells better.

I would think that the Classics/Universe line is already a kind of Generation 3. It's mostly familiar characters getting a make-over. As for a new show entitled G3 I dunno. You could do one that takes place in between G1/G2 and Beast Wars I guess. But there really isn't any need to go further then the conclusion of Beast Machines. I'd be all for another CGI show though. Beast Wars proved it could be done and with todays tech the quality could be kick ass.

Agreed. I think the only thing holding back any TF series of any kind at this point would be a good story line. CGI/Animated TF shows can look really good but would not be worth watching without a good story. As far as a G3 is concerned. Mehhh.

There's already annoyance with some people who insist anything after season two of G1 is G2 :grr

Best leave the word Generation out the title. Even something like 'Transformers Generations', which sounds good, until you remember those people who will argue with you for hours that Galvatron was not G1. :wtf

Even if it's just for my own anger management, please leave out the word Generation from titles.
