Animated Arcee to be a Toys R Us Exclusive?

Recommended Posts

I live just outside of the city, and it is very convinient even on the outskirts which is fine cause I hate crowds. Thats why I spend most of my free time in hiking the country.

It's be best of both worlds.

You who does this right? TARGET! Target knows how to do this right. I have found ALL Target exclusives within a reasonable amount of time. And they usually have more than one shipment, so If I have to pass that day, I can at least count on them being there later.

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! *Deep Breath* BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

And with all that "Booo-ing" i just have 2 things to say. At least were getting them in retail (get over it) :P , AND TRU ALWAYS has TONS of their exclusives. I doubt a scalper can go in and buy ALL the ROTS Darth Vaders, or holo Sith Lords (or whatever sw's put out). I think theres a limit as to how many exclusives you can buy there. There is ar mine anyway (2 hrs away :roll )

Thanks to The Arker, we have in-package shots of the Transformers Animated Deluxes Arcee and Cybertronian Ratchet figures sporting Toys R Us store exclusive stickers. The fact that certain Animated figures are exclusives should not come as a surprise to anybody. Hasbro has said that they will try to get the figures out in any venue possible, and has left spreading the figures out as exclusives an open possibility. Downside is that you will have to hunt. Upside? You get new Animated figures! The figures are slated to drop in Spring 2010. <br />

This confuses me a little bit because Arcee is a co-sale on the back of the Electrostatic Soundwave I picked up at WalmArt earlier this week and the Cybertron Ratchet was on the freeway Jazz packet. ( I didn't check the Prowl to see which waves Prowl was on the peg. ) My memory isn't the best for these things but I don't recall ever seeing an exclusive co-sold on a general retailer product.

Any chance this is a different version?

Maybe. But unlikely. I suppose this could be selling TRU exclusive in another country though. But the reality of it is at one time, when they first made the mold AND box for ES SW & F.Jazz, they were to be released as something BUT excusives. But they wanted to get them out in some fashion and maybe to get out these AND the rodimus, Wingblade Prime and all the others, they went this way.

Thats my take it on. Im sure they are gonna be TRU excusives (which believe me, i wish they weren't. Although this wil up their value a bit which is nice)

Does ANYBODY have any pics/links of the 1986 Arcee prototype? I cant find them on the web and ive only heard about it. :shrug

Then is the Wasp toy also gonna be someone's exclusive? Just seems odd to me.

These were originally slated for retail a national release, SO they made up the boxes and molds waaaaaay before they canceled animated. This happened with the rest of the titanium toys, they showed teh exclusives on boxes sold elsewhere, and THEY were TRU exclusives too. Talking about teh WW prowl, and Grimlocks. Its not that wierd, it would be too much work for hasbro to change the package design now. And its obvious that Hasbro cant release these elsewise, for some reason.

if these two are exclusive will thundercracker, wingblade prine, rodimus, and vortex blurr exclusives as well?

I actually wonder if we will even GET Vortex Blurr, being that these packages were probably made before Animated was canned. :shrug

AND TRU ALWAYS has TONS of their exclusives.

I wish! Tell that to the people who missed out on reissue Soundwave or the War Within Titaniums. I couldn't even find the Whirl/Bludgeon ROTF two pack. TRU is one of the worst when it comes to Transformers exclusives in my opinion. Now that I think of it I don't believe I've seen more than 3 of any exclusive I've been lucky to find that they've carried (aside from the G1 reissues), they've all been in short supply.

Target used to be really good, but they don't overstock the exclusives like they used to. Before they would fill an entire endcap and they were guaranteed to go on clearance, but now they barely cover a square foot of shelves. The local Target only got in 6 of the Titanium exclusives (two of each) and four of the ROTF Superion box sets, and not a single Bruticus set.

Walmart hasn't let me down yet, I just wish they'd get more exclusives that aren't just repaints.
