Any uk stores selling Sky-Bite or Cybershark moulds?

Recommended Posts

I would really like to know!

Can't find one in the auctions?

I have Cybershark, and passed on Sky Bite. I have to say though, I like Sky Bite's colors alot better.

Sorry, dunno. But that's a great fig. You'll love it I know.

I have Cybershark, and yup one B E A S T of a toy. But I want Skybite as I fell in love with the charachtor. I also want one to do a custom paintjob on.. One of those "Ooh I wonder what that would look like" to "MISSION ACCEPTED MUST SUCCEED!" in half a second things.

Sky Bite is king of all idiots! I still :love him in RiD though. CLASSIC character! Ultra Magnus was a bit to chew on though, but i came around once found out about his integrity.

You know what.. I expected him to get an upgrade to a pure Decepticon form.. I was half thinking he would be Starscream and go all badass...

UM Was freakin cool. Stop lights that make you really STOP! And then the moment you find out that he is a prototype BinWagon..

I have Cybershark, Transmetal II Cybershark, Sky Byte (not Bite) and Sharp Edge. I agree that Sky Byte looks nicer than TMII Cybershark.

But overall I find the TM2 Cybershark/Sky Byte mould to be quite overrated. I remember when this toy was coming out in 1999, a lot of action figure magazines got samples of this toy to review and reviewers were fapping themselves over this toy. Needless to say that all that hype _seriously_ gave me really lofty expectations for this toy, but then when I got it I was like, "...oh..." I was pret-ty disappointed. But I wonder if my reaction would've been different if I hadn't read all those over-optimistic reviews of this toy months before getting it. One thing that irks me about that mould is how the shark mode is sculpted in "mid attack swim" instead of a neutral position like on the original Cybershark (and also Sharp Edge).

As a result I skipped Gelshark when Car Robot came out, but then after watching Car Robot I really liked the character. Then RiD came out, but Hasbro Australia did _not_ release Sky Byte, Slapper, Gas Skunk or Scourge here! But I was like, "meh whateva..." -- as much as I liked the character, the mould didn't interest me. Then a mate of mine went to Canada and asked me if I wanted anything... so I asked him to get me Sky Byte. :)

Anyway, the point of this story is that I'd only recommend the TM2 Cybershark/Sky Byte mould to you if you happen to be a fan of either or both of those characters. If not for Car Robot/RiD I wouldn't have bothered getting Sky Byte. The toy alone isn't that exciting. I dunno... I was never a huge fan of Transmetal 2s, they always felt like a step down from Transmetals. Tigerhawk is pretty cool though... but Cybertron/Sky Byte is an easy pass IMO.

I never read any of the reviews, and to be honest, I keep him as a back of the shelf figure.

Nice detailing and size, but he just doesn't seem to do anything for me. I think thats mainly due to the shoulder kibble and floppy spinner arm. I thought of selling him a couple times. but I'm real close to finishing a complete Beast Wars collection, so I'm keeping the guy.

I personally think that this is one of the BEST transformers ever. The "attack pose" really made the toy stand out, it gave it LIFE. Something that RID Megatron failed at miserably.

RID Megatron is one of the most awesomely, versatile boring figures ever.

It's amazing how all that amazing crammed into one figure, can also be so lack luster.
