ROTF special features discussion

Recommended Posts

Well if you have the 2-disc (or even the single disc), here is the place to discuss what you've found.

Let me start with what I found:

  • After listening to the commentary i've found that Michael Bay responded to McG ripping off transformers in Terminator 4, in his own way: in the desert battle, when Sam and Mikaela are running towards the soldiers, right before they show Megatron chasing them, there is a decepticon protoform that does a roll and after firing afew rounds, gets his head blown off, when Sam and Mikaela run past it's corpse you can clearly see T-1000(the name of the TF ripoff terminator) tatooed on its arm.
Wheelie's leg humping was Bay's idea because people had never seen a humping robot,(he's obviously never watched robot chicken).
Devastator's balls was a culmination of ideas from Bay, Orci, & Kurtzman.
Arcee's combined form was going to be another unicycle, resembling demolishor, but with 3 wheels rolling end over end.
Even Bay admitted that the final battle with the Fallen was shafted due to time constraints, he identifies with the fans' disappointment.
The role of Leo was initially intended for Jonah Hill.
Sam dying and meeting the Primes was any idea carried over from the first movie.
Devastator has green eyes to reference G1 Dev's color.

DUDE!! Jonah Hill would have KILLED IT!!! Hes hilarious :tflaugh I wish they got him in their. (Jonah hill = funny as FUCK and always swears! :tfevil)

Ive seen the concept for the Arcee twins combination and this, what your talking about, is EXACTLY that! Maybe TF3? I still need to grab an Arcee and Chromia so when they come out with (Elita 1? or..?) they wont all be gone. I especially liked Arcee in the movie.

T-1000 rip is imo is :awsum Its a nod to Terminator. bTW, anyone know when the new season of Sarah Conner chronicals comes out? Or IS it on already?

I dont know, but after watching the movie last night in HD i didnt have one complaint. Unlike movie 1 where i had a few. When i saw ROTF in the theater, it was 2 hours long, and i realized last night :wtf its 2 & 1/2 hours long with SOOOOOO much more that i didnt see in the theater. My small town proably cut it down or somehting stupid. And the clones looke fake, unlike the dvd. I was actually confused cuz how much awesome it was from what i remembered.

Oh & the dogs humping was :tflaugh

I don't find Jonah Hill amusing at all. Same thing with Seth Rogan and that whole bunch. I dunno, I just don't get it. Would he have been funnier in the role? Perhaps, but the role wasn't needed in my opinion.

As far as Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles, it has been....how shall we say......TERMINATED.

I don't find Jonah Hill amusing at all.

:agree If Jonah Hill had been cast as Leo, I'd of hated the character just on the casting decision.

The "25 Years of Transformers" section was really disappointing.

First of all, one of the Hasbro execs was talking TF fans and decided to divide us into two categories:

+ New fans; children discovering Transformers for the first time.

+ Long time or dedicated fans; adults who enjoyed Transformers as children but are only now rediscovering Transformers.

Umm... what about people like me (and many of us here) who discovered Transformers in 1984 and have never stopped collecting ever since?!? :fire :redface No disrespect to anyone who are "born again Transfans" but I'd like to think that long timers like myself, who've stuck with Transformers through the good times and bad times, deserve at least a brief mention. Gah! :/ (-_-)

A brief glimpse of my 25 years of Transfandom

To see my unyielding loyalty to the Transformers brand go unacknowledged like that did make me a sad panda. :(

Another thing is... it really didn't give us much insight at all about the actual full 25 years' worth of Transformers history. I was hoping it'd be like some kind of actual documentary about the history and evolution of the brand, but it was nothing of the sort. It was pretty much like, early G1, movie franchise, old 80s fans, new kid fans, born again adult fans... and that was ALL. This franchise has endured for a quarter century and that was all they could do?!? (o_O)

Oh yeah, did anyone else feel like bursting out laughing when Aaron Archer described himself and his contemporaries as "experts" on Transformers lore?!?

...bugger me backwards and call me Susan. (-_-)

On a positive note, I have continued to be impressed by Bay's relationship with the military. :)

Anyway, I haven't watched all of Disc 2 yet... will continue to do so tonight.

I thought I made this thread already??

Jonah Hill......He didn't do ROTF but did do the Night at the mediocre Museum Sequel.......FAIL

I thought I made this thread already??

this isn't "discuss new things you've noticed" but more of a discussion of the film commentary and the disc 2 bonus features, everything I said in my initial post was retrieved from the bonus features. :P
