New in-packaging pics! Alt Swindle & Grimlock!

Recommended Posts

Did anyone else notice those teeth reflecting on Grimlock's packaging? :wtf

Actually, that looks more like cieling lights, distorted by the contour of the surface in which they are being reflected. Not to spoil your fun... lol

Boy, Grimlock looks smooth. Very nice. (The fact that he happens to be that awesome 2005 'Stang doesn't hurt.) Not too many "breaks" in the car mode, aside from the ubiquitous "split down the middle of the rear of the car" us Transfans have been conditioned to accept. :tfgrin

Swindle.... well, now I understand why Hasbro was reluctant to release Tracks in yellow (conspiracy theories aside). Swindle just looks cheap. And I don't quite get the color. I know it's closer to "G1 Swindle Yellow," but it just looks off to me. Every yellow Jeep I've ever seen has been a very saturated, bright yellow (like BT Tracks). IMO that would have looked cooler.

Im glad someone around here besides me and that '87 Olds guy likes cars besides tuners. I like tuners and all, but just like they had to admit in 2F2F, 'there's no substitute for Detroit muscle'.

Im holding out judgement until I get my Swindle. That color is a little darker looking, but while Id prefer it to be the exact shade of my own Wrangler (Solar Yellow) it doesnt look altogether bad. Its a lot like that butterscotch yellow that was popular on a lot of toy cars in the late 70s and early 80s which is nostalgic for me.
