Sorry, if this is old (by about a year or so), but I just picked up 2nd Grimlock (he was on clearnce for a good price, plus I liked the figure). Anywhoo, I happen to be reading the back of the box and noticed under his abilites & powers, it reads that he is as strong as Megatron. I've seen all 3 seasons, but never picked up on that. Now, I realize they probably just put it in his bio to make him look good (I mean, who doesn't fib a little on thier resumes), but does anyone think there's any truth to it? Also a little side note, has anyone heard (assuming he is still being made), what class Wing Blade Prime will be?

He could be as physically strong, but Megatron is a much more rounded threat. Where Megatron is strong he is just as smart and just as skilled. Speculation aside, the matter of fact is that we'll never really know. The Dinobots and Megatron have sadly never met on the battlefield.

 

Wingblade Prime is just the deluxe Prime with add on armor/wings and a hammer accessory. Although the armor and stuff will also be compatible with the voyager class.

If Animated didn't give us all those crucial and important stories with such intresting villans like KO Robin Hood and Flying Pony Fat Girl, maybe there could have been an episode where we'd have found out...

 

But realy, who would want that when you could watch some dork run!?!

I've always taken Grimlock to be just as physically powerful as Megatron, or even slightly moreso--although, as Breaker pointed out, Megatron is a much more versatile and fearsome threat because he is a true cerebral assassin. Animated kind of dropped the ball there between what his bio states and what we actually saw in the show. His G1 characterization has pretty much consistently had him in the very upper quadrant of Transformer powerhouses, though.

Err they are living Superweapon WMD'S.. So I dont think much effort would be needed.

It wasn't needed. I don't think anyone is as strong as their double threat. Although in the comic explaining their origins, Starscream gave them a run for their money. I think the real key to beating Jetfire and Jetstorm would be outsmarting them. And thats where Megatron would come in.

Starscream Megatron is in effect the opposite of Grimlock Safeguard, Screamer has the power to defeat Megs but not the courage, Grimlock V Safeguard is all about skill and speed.
