Hasbro Answers Your Burning Questions Part V!

Recommended Posts

You know. as far as the figures are concerned "why" do they have no plans to release any more? It is very unlike Hasbro to not already have figures in line to be made or distributed. My bet is that they are done with the movie line and are getting a new line ready to come out around christmas like they did with the animated line shortly after the first movie. "hopefully"

I'm guessing you weren't paying attention during Comic-con. They have a whole slew of new figures coming out that will be going well into next year. My guess is they felt the line was already saturated enough with construction vehicles and they wanted to focus on some more unique alt modes. But it's always a shame when a character who actually has some screen time doesn't get a figure.

^ right I forgot about what was already announced. Just bummed that they didn't care enough to really give us anything at all.

"Saturation with Constructicons" does not compute! :bounce

^ he needs a hug.....

Nope, a sledgehammer would suffice! :D

Apologies to anyone offended by the language, but...I'm just pissed about this one.

I feel your pain...

No scrapper = me sad :tfsad

Blame the writers, who made the movie Constructicons what they are, for the lack of a complete set of toys. If they had been G1 like, not in exact for but in the same function, Hasbro would have made regular toys of the movie Constructicons.

There's a lot of blame to go around...the overall effort seems to be incredibly uncoordinated. The Constructicon concept should have made or broke the movie, and instead...the Constructicons are afterthoughts, and they are complete afterthoughts, irregardless of how cool the individual toys look. There was simply no mission statement for the Constructicons other than 'let's slap them on the screen and throw them at the public and make $$$$.' There was no real idea for them that was truly fleshed out other than construction vehicles that transform and combine into one dull-witted metallic colossus. And it's a shame: I'm sitting here looking at dlx. Rampage, and I'm blown away by his design. I'm slack-jawed. It's genius, and I don't care if his f***ing shovel keeps popping off every time I transform him. And you can say that for each Constructicon toy--even the combining legends.

While the writers are responsible for what we saw in the theater, Hasbro is responsible for making the decision to discontinue a figure that was onscreen (and that has a concept rendering that everyone's seen). At this point, it just feels like Hasbro is doing whatever they want to...which is their prerogative, but that makes them ultimately to blame for this particular decision. :shrug

I think they invested to much into Supreme Devastator when they should have spent on making other figures...
