To anybody who cares or even seen them, I was in Toy Liquidators, a division of KB Toys and I say some knockoff Go-bots with minor tweaks in their design. Now I thought it was pretty funny but so who(for whutever reason) wants a gobot or 3, go pick one up.

I figured I'd place this in the toy discussion because Hasbro aquired the rights to Go-bots around the G2 era. So I guess Go-bots are the off shot deformed cousins of the Transformers.

Ha ha!! Gobots suck!! Like that one that has a windshield for a face!!!

*looks at G1 Ironhide*

er..... never mind. :redface

E-Hobby Redently Repainted the Reissiued Mincons as GOBOTS! For Ever linking the 2 dimensions. The Story is that the Gobots came here as Spies, theyalso helpd Develope the G2 Gobots and Spychanger tech

Heh, some of the Go-bots were quite good, especially those of the mold form like Baron Von Joy (okay the name sucks, but the mold is quite good and was articulated while most TF's were bricks at that time).

Tech Specs:

G1 Gobots

Function: Dimensional Exploration/Experimentation Team

These are the first group of robots on Cybertron to call themselves "GoBots." Equipped with completely standard outward appearances and transformation functions of Transformers, they are, in fact, undercover operatives of a species that came from a completely different universe. They are a special-duties unit comprised of initially opposing powers who joined forces to save their brethren from a crisis threatening to destroy their homeworld. Even as they conduct such secret activities on Cybertron as intelligence-gathering, diplomacy, and dimensional interference experiments, they have brought technologies such as their distinctive transporter devices and biomechanical engineering to this world, contributing to the birth of new generations of TFs like the Spychangers.

Weapon(s): Various built-in firepower

Strength: 7 Intelligence: 9 Speed: 7 Endurance: 6

Teamwork: 2 Courage: 8 Firepower: 7 Skill: 9

*Treads was originally a Guardians, but joined the Decepticons to keep an eye on the other two.

Pics??

Guess I need to get a digital camera for this one then. I keep forgetting.

Doesn't Armada Megs come with a Leader-1 minicon, who was the leader of the Guardians?

That's true to further cement the fact that Go-bots won't be coming back. But this line is different. It has the same font style as the Challange of the Go-bots and they have about 6-8 robots and you can tell the more popular ones. They come with a small motor so you can wind it back. I'll have to bring in a pic.

Bandai could always bring them back as Machine Robo, their original Japanese name. Of course most of the GoBots as characters will still be lost since Hasbro owns them when they bought out Tonka. Then again, there's a strong chance Hasbro let most of those expire with just about everything else from the 80's.....
