Japanese Autobot Leaders- Why so bland?

NO actually the first post is saying that Prime and ANimated Prime ect are GOOD leaders;

Yeah, in _comparison_ to the Japanese Autobot leaders (in Damolishor's opinion).

Breaker's post went off on a tangent defending the Anglophone leaders as not being bland, which is contrary to what Damolishor was saying in post #1.

Let's examine...

Watching Masterforce, Victory, hell, even Headmasters, I've noticed one thing: Every Autobot leader in those shows is bland as hell.

So here Damolishor has stated that the Japanese Autobot leaders are "bland as hell."

He then goes on to say...

G1 Optimus Prime, Optimus Primal, Rodimus Prime, Animated Optimus, all of them had personalities that were more than just "I'm a leader. I kick Decepticon ass when you need me to. And then I combine with things later in the series as our enemies become more powerful which REALLY makes the rest of my team useless! Booya!"

Again, he's citing the Anglophone leaders to demonstrate how bland he thinks the Japanese leaders are by comparison.

Then he goes on to say...

At least their Decepticon leaders were some what interesting. (A little bland too, but hey. They were still cool.)

...he finds the Anglophone Decepticon leaders more interesting or not as bland as their Japanese counterparts.

Now the most important thing for the rest of us, are the QUESTIONS that Damolishor poses for discussion!

Does anyone else agree? Does anyone else find leaders like Fortress Maximus or Ginrai too bland?

So these questions were what Damolishor would've intended for this thread to be directed around. In this context, it makes little sense to defend the Anglophone leaders which Damolishor was never accusing of being bland (to the contrary he was painting them in a positive light and accusing the Japanese leaders of blandness).
