MP Megatron is perfect in alt mode but in robot mode he doesn't look like G1 Megatron so I decided to remodel head and repaint some parts. This is my first custom and first transformer :)

You're right, he doesn't look quite right out-of-the-box. You've definitely improved him. I've added a bit of black around the upper legs on mine to avoid the 'thong' look he has!

 

Oh, and I'm not sure if anyone else has tried this but G1 Meg's fusion cannon is a much better size and actually clips onto MP Meg's arm...

The only problem I see with using G1 Megatron's fusion cannon on MP Megatron is that it would be disproportionately small in gun mode. IT may look good in robot mode, but not gun mode.

Big improvement on MP Megs. I think MP is actually a bit of a Fail, but this repaint really helps.

Very true, but I keep mine strictly in bot mode. Not only is he just too fragile and complicated, but it's not as if I can display a giant handgun like I can an Alt vehicle or a MP seeker jet.

 

Besides, technically Meg's alt-mode is right there on my shelf... in MP Starscream's hand, lol! ;)

You are right. Fusion cannon is too big in orginal masterpiece. I consider some improvments in future. Maybe new custom fusion cannon build from scratch or old but mounted in different way.

It may be just a fraction too small, but it's a lot closer to how G1 Megs is usually depicted...

...and it stops MP Megs from leaning to the left under the weight of the huge MP cannon!

Yeah, but cartoon Megatron had a lot of animation cheating going on.
