How DARE I buy a Nemesis Prime!

Recommended Posts

I hate to tell you, but MOST of the time I'm POSITIVE the items I'm looking for are stored in the back. If that IS policy, then it SHOULD be made that there is PLENTY available on the release date.

THat lady needed to take the log out of her ass.

There is no excuse for yelling at the customer when they ask a legitimate question. You were not even complaining, merely explaining your experience. I would still report her by filing out an on-line complaint, if you got her name, report her, list the store and the day, approximate time and the nature of the discussion. Should any customer be yelled at? Depends on what the customer did, in your case both you and your gf were horribly treated, no ifs ands or buts about it. :tfmad

I would suggest if the same thing happens to you again, report them immediately while you are in the store AND make sure you ask someone else as well. Don’t let one inconsiderate fool ruining your shopping experience. :stone

Lastly, as for evilbay sometimes it is better to pay the going market price than to waste ALL that time and gas on the “hunt. It gets royally unpleasant when you cannot find anything you want during the lovely hunt after dedicating months on end. :redface

i recently filed a complaint on line with target corporate and believe me, they have NO sympathy for their customers. they will back their employees 100% of the time no questions asked. they did e-mail me back with an excuse that was totally lame which totally blew off my complaint.

it was a doomlock that didn't ring up in the system and they wouldn't sell it to me. now out of 5 target stores i've been to this was a first. the guy at this store told me that if other stores still sold me the item then they were wrong for doing so because it's company policy to not sell the item under these circumstances.

now in my complaint i was very specific about the item being brand new and that others that came in the same box rang up just fine. their reply assumed that the item i was trying to purchase MUST have been "salvage merchandise" which is clearance stuff that was suppose to have been removed from shelves and if it wasn't couldn't be sold because it was no longer an item that registered in their system.

so i wrote them again, twice, once again explaining that the items were BRAND NEW and not "salvage merch" and that the way the people at the store treated me was just bad. so far they've just blown me off. they obviously don't care about keeping their customers happy.

with policies like theirs it's only a matter of time before a really bad reputation starts to catch up with them. i worked at a super-k for 5 years and even though k-mart has a bad rep for customer service at least they made efforts to try and change things. corporate listened to the concerns of the customers, even the crack pots, and tried to make them happy. target doesn't even do that so i expect one day they'll find themselves in a world of hurt.

lately i seem to be reading a lot of posts about people having bad experiences at target, if this keeps up i say we should all pull together and give them hell. in the end it might not make much of a difference but it would be theraputic for us who've been having bad experiences with them.

would take a little of the fun out of the hunt.

In this part of FL, the Fun is GONE.....

There are 2 WlMarts, 4 'Super'WalMarts & 5 Targets within Driving distance....I was checking Them ALL for new Alternators 3-4 times a week (until yesterday). I have yet to see a single STREAK or HOUND....Let alone any others.

Thank PRIMUS for Online-Shopping. I ordered a few Alts from several online retailers and the one that took the longest (DeadEnd from WalMart.com) was still here in 5 Days!

I really used to look forward to finding the new toys in every store, but after so many trips...for Nothing...(I'm done ranting now....)

You guys enjoy your Evil Woolly-Mammoth Prime :tflaugh

The customer is not always right!!

99.99% they are wrong..hehehehehe

I work at walmart..and most customers are idiots :)

Exactly! :lol

Ah well, gives you stories to tell once you get home...

My K-Mart actually has good customer service. On another note, Target also does not support any foundations dealing with the Military I discovered.

My K-Mart actually has good customer service. On another note, Target also does not support any foundations dealing with the Military I discovered.

it was my experience that people often blamed k-mart for poor customer service based on the fact that often times stores were out of sale merchandise. i would say 3/4 of the complaints i heard had to do with this. now there were several reasons for this one: the day the sale would start our stock of a sale item would be gone within hours. two: some of the merchandise was just late arriving. three: we had a large amount of the merchandise that sold out before the sale even started. people couldn't understand that these things were beyond our control. and the ad's do state that all sale items were subject to availability, which means not all stores will have EVERY item that is listed in an ad.

now what would happen is people would come in and if they couldn't find every little thing they wanted, they would just lose it! and come down unfairly on the person who was trying to help them. if k-mart is the worst in customer service then it has a great deal to do with k-mart having to deal with the worst customers.

now there were instances where some employees could have been a little more helpful to people and weren't but those people were usually part-timers who didn't give a rats ass about anything but collecting their paychecks and every retail chain has their share of those people.

i've experienced much worse customer service at walmart and target stores. every time i've asked for help in those stores NOBODY wanted to help, and the few that did help, did it with a piss poor attitude treating me like i just pissed in their cheerios.

Target I get bad service from. Wal-Mart is half and half. K-Mart I have found to be the best service I've dealt with. If it is not on the floor, I simply ask "Would you mind checking the back please?" "Thank You." Often they do it with no problem.

most target stores seem to hire anyone who walks in the door.

i showed up there in the same clothes i worked on my car in earlier that day, filled out an application, and talked to a manager to set up an interview. within a week i was hired, and believe me they will hire ANYONE reguardless of disposition, intellegence, hygiene, ect. the do have a high turnaround rate at the store i worked at, though, but thats because most of the people they hire don't care and are just there for the check.

as far as store policy, if there is merchandise in the backroom that is supposed to be on the shelf, someone should have been written up. target stores work on an automated stocking system that rotates stock out to the floor as it is needed. the system itself keeps track of everything- even the person or situation that caused the merchandise to not reach the floor.

if the merchandise was not supposed to be on the floor yet, then it was that guy's fault that he got you that merchandise out of the backroom early- NOT your fault. the manager in question should have been written up for her treatment of you as a customer as that is target's "policy" to do so.

on a side note, you should have steered clear of that woman and found a non-managerial employee with a PDT (the price checking guns) and asked him/her if there were anymore in the back. he would have probably gladly went back and grabbed some more for you as the management at most stores tends to be a little lacking in the communication department anyway.

Generally I agree about the management lacking communication skills. I found plenty of things at Target by asking people on the floors with the guns. Most were helpful and some were even nice.
