Recommended Posts

I'm about to start ordering everything from BBTS. Usualy I wont becuase of the above retail prices, but considering the gas saved by not running all over the place, it might be worth it.

It is worth it when you remember that the odds of you finding a HOT TF is slim, especially when it first comes out. Also consider that if you rely solely on brick and mortar stores, then you are wasting a crap load of time waiting! I doubt most of you check stores everyday, and if you did what a waste of time as well. Next lets not forget the expenses involving gas and car maintenance.

Even if a store is within a few miles most of us do not walk or take the bus to TRU, Target or the nearest Walmart. Thus, considering ALL OF THESE FACTORS, your time, energy, frustration/disappointment, and gas/car maintenance costs, I’d rather buy online for something I really want. Just my two cents, after all the onus is on the buyer to get the best deal they can find, not for stores to be competitively priced, they do not always have to be, b/c some know they more or less corner the market.

Unfortunately, this is Target's policy, and good luck complaining to a manager. I recently bought a non-toy item from the store and returned it because I was not satisfied. I just happened to walk in the day a member of upper management was covering the service desk. He proceeded to chastise me for returning the item saying that " I did not know what I was talking about", and that I "should educate myself better about a product before I buy it". I was pretty furious because the item still had all of its packaging and had only been used once. They tried to slap a restocking fee on me. I called corporate who in turn called the store. The store denied everything, and coroporate believed the store. I guess they employees can be as mean as they want unless there is a not a non-store-personnel witness to the event.

Needless to say, I have quit shopping at Target, which really stinks because my wal-marts are really, really BAD.

I say burn it to the ground :fire

talk about CUstomer Service! sheesh, makes me wonder why i love retail so much, it's to get ppl like that out of the chain!

I hate it when ppl work retail just cuz "they need a job" I do it cuz i love the fact that i can make ppl happy while spending money! :P anyway yeah that lady/girl needed a reality check! I mean come on, you were just asking a nice question, im sure you were not rude to her.

okay kids i have spoken on this subject before since i work at Target myself and have a pretty good working knowledge of the inventory system and all store policy. the policy on collectibles only applies to multi-pack items like say... MOTU figs. items that all have the same DPCI but are different and all packed in the same box. this policy exists to keep collectors from tying up an emplyee for an hour going through all the boxes of action figures that are stored in the back. Nemisis Prime is an item (like board games and some larger toys) that is NOT a multi-pack item and not only is the only thing shipped in the box but has an unique DPCI. the policy to the letter does not apply to Prime. employees often like to be overly attentive to rules that keep them from doing work. in other words it's just because they are being lazy.

oh and managers at Target get payed very decent money so they have nothing to be pissed off about. if i can be nice to every customer no matter how nasty they are getting payed chicken feed then the damn managers should be able to as well.

edit: Contessa_Convoy yeah i gotta agree i like my job as well for the same reason. crappy customer service pisses me off. luckily my store is mostly staffed with decent people.

I wish you would tell me excactly which Target it was. I could have a field day with this.
