Review: ROTF Voyager Demolishor Figure

Recommended Posts

I bought him using a gift card, so no actual money was lost out of my pocket. Its not a bad toy, but is far from being a great one. I imagine we will be seeing this guy getting used as fodder in a lot of bashes.

this figure would be great if it had hands. i love the uniqueness of it.

Well I love the dude. Reminds me of the "Satan with Wheels myth" in fact the constructicons so far seem to relate to many myths..

Those tabs that hang off the back? They are an extra to counterbalance heavy loads, these are specialist extras used in strip mines..

interesting point I really hadn't considered- why is this mess a voyager and not a deluxe? Before the line is over I'm sure there will have been many more deserving characters who end up as grossly under scaled deluxes. Already Rampage and especially Soundwave deserve bigger toys than they got. Is there anybody out there who has bought this toy and would have been heartbroken to get a smaller version instead?

Rampage would have been a great voyager!!!! I really like his figure a lot.

The thing I never understood is why he has one 'wheel' under him and the other behind his head. Why not just have both wheels under him, parallel with one another? It would have decreased his screen footprint even more, and given him a broader base.

I think it's because Bay has a fascination with these:

One can swing as an upright pendulum. He has a smaller footprint therefore much higher speed potential and less friction allowing for a hell of a fast giant..

It's possible to transform the toy that way. Someone posted pics of it in another thread, I forget which one...

That was mine (in the sense that I posted about it in that thread). I need to post pics of the other mode I made, basically it's a motorcycle with the front wheel as a tread instead (so he can see over it). Still needs a hand dragging on the ground for stability, but it looks cool.

I love this guy!

That does make him look 50 times better.. if/when I get him, I'm gonna adopt your robot mode. :tfgrin

You know what they say about lipstick on a pig...

However, I didn't realize there was such a Demolishor fan base, which is good for Hasbro :bounce
