need some help with bulkhead

Recommended Posts

i just got a bulkhead today and there is a problem that i'm wondering about. on the afterburner unit, the rachet joint on one side isn't properly positioned and the arm/engine doesn't sit right. one side is just fine the other slouches down a bit. is this just a bad one i got or is this a common flaw?

if it is a common flaw is there anything that can be done to fix it?

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

mine is like that too, i have no clue how to fix it

eh...it's no biggie. i'm just glad to have him! :thumb

so long as i know it's a common flaw thats all that matters, that way i don't go exchanging him for no reason.

Mine has the same problem. Dave over at the Allspark forums also reported it in his review. It seems to be a common production flaw.

One question, and it probably doesn't matter; did yours come in Powerlinx packaging?

yeah it's powerlinx packaging.

i wouldn't hold my breath on hasbro fixing this flaw if they haven't by now. oh well, i still love it! it's a great figure. :thumb

the red looks much better than the green and blue

I like the quickstrike repaint, but I prefer the Green and Blue that I already have.

Also mine has that flaw as well.

Here's to them fixing the problem with Quickstrike.

Mine came in the old black packaging and had the same problem.

I fixed it by taking that side apart with a screwdriver, and carefully rotating the misaligned part about 15-20 degrees with needlenose pliers. The misaligned part is a gear-shaped piece of black plastic that a little spring-loaded white part fits to form the ratcheting mechanism (be careful not to lose the white part or the tiny springs when taking the unit apart). Proper alignment requires having the notchs of the gear aligned with the longitudinal axis of the thruster unit, like this:
