Better/Hidden Alt modes

Recommended Posts

One of the first things I try to do with my transformers is come up with more alt modes. It's quite fun, and there are only a handful of figures I've failed to come up with something worthwhile for. Usually, I can't make something up for a triple changer with vastly different modes, such as with Universe Octane/Tankor. But pretty much everything else is fair game. Right now I am working on making a decent alt for ROTF Ravage... So far so bad, as there's not much he can do...

My favorite third modes would be the walker modes for Classics Deluxe Megatron and Legends Megatron, the "gerwalk/mech" mode for TF1 Blackout, and the fighting-walrus-big-head-robo mode for Universe Prowl. Pehaps I shall post pics some time.

Someone plucked BW Prowl..

Just thought I'd mention that I have a few pictures in my gallery of ROTF alt modes I've made, including Wheelieravage. :P

Not mine, found on the TF Img Board; Ez-Collection/Legends Devastator, alternate build.

These are probably not too far fetched. Considering how much he is flippping about when attacking those helicopters.

it actually is quite far fetched being that his top wheel only ever rotated with his bottom wheel, which never required any sort of transformation..

it is interesting, however i prefer the way he was in the movie.

Top wheel is like the tail of a Helicopter, except rather than counteracting Torque which would spin the Helicopter to the left it acts as a kind of Gyroscope counteracting the torque created by the forward/backward motion of the leg wheel. When he travels forward the natural action of G-Force would pull him over on his face. By spinning the overhead wheel in the opposite direction there is in effect a counterbalance to that forward motion. The force of the weight of his treads flying backwards and down would provide for quite a nimble terrifying threat once full speed was attained..
