BotCon 2009 - Revenge of the Fallen Devastator Combiner Gallery

lame

I'm with ya, man...to avoid a strenuous rant, I'll just say that these look like inarticulate hunks of plastic that combine to form something that's not pictured on the back of the box! Pass... :tdown

Seconded. The legends class combiner looks better than this big waste of plastic.

Is anyone at Botcon gonna give them what for over this!?!

I mean yeah we all love Transformers, but this here is a chance to nip this type of crap in the bud!!!

I'll overnight some rotten tomatoes if needed.

Take a stand for the fans!!!!!!

I hear figs, persimmons, cauliflower and some pumpkins are also in season...hey, make'em feel a little pain. :thumb

rrright.. that's what i meant.

i'm pretty sure hasbro holds Q&A sessions online.. they also have them AT botcon.. they also accept questions in the form of email.. i assume that i'm the only one that thinks that the people whose salaries we pay should listen to some of the concerns that we have..

yep.. tomatoes.. that's exactly what i meant.

Products and colors may vary.

Nowhere near the first and surely not the last Transformer to have changes from the box art. That said, I'll give you that his paint apps are definately disapointing. The fact he *IS* pretty articulated is a good case for no bot modes. I'm still not overly thrilled about it, but if you gave me a choice between a brick gestault (read, pretty much all of them) or one that has no bot modes but can actually be manipulated without it falling apart and having some articulation, I'd be ok with the no bot modes. I've yet to see this $100 price actually confirmed anywhere though, so I'm hoping that's still an unrealistic rumor that's gotten out of hand. He's definately a no-go for 100 bucks, though for 50 or 60 I'd pick him up if he's as articulated as he looks.

I do have to wonder though, looking at the Individual, robot mode Constructicons. They have a third alt mode.. there HAS to be a reason they don't combine. I wonder if perhaps they were planned to at some point and then couldn't be finalized due to some failing (drop test? some other saftey reason?). I have a hard time believing it's PURELY money for Hasbro but given all the concessions, nods and other things they've made to an adult fanbase they have no reason to care about over the years I can't see them as OMG HASBLO HATES US!

Ah well. If he's 100 bills I don't expect him to sell well as that's just too expensive in this economic time for a toy, so if he is, I'll wait for him to clearance. Either way I may hold off a bit and see if there's a different version planned for later (premium, redesign, smaller non-legends one that combines.. whatever). It's too bad, i LOVE his design, but the toy is a little lacking. I do think it is the paint though.

What I really want to see is this guy on display with the movie leaders.. I can't tell how big he is without a good size ref.. having him by himself doesn't help me any.

Yeeep! Guess we'll just have to wait & see if Hasbro will even bother...

so I guess in hasbro's eyes, $100=less than a dozen paint apps and lacking joints that are becoming standard on every other figure

considering what it is, couldn't the transformation been at least a tiny bit more complicated? blasphemy or not, this guy is on par with power rangers

well in relation to the third mode for of the individual con's I picked up Rampage from a local dealer yesterday and yes he has a third mode called jackhammer mode I'm asuming all the Constructicons have this . so this is prob one of the reasoning behind the non-combining effect

I will say one thing the transformation on Ramage is quite anoying bits fallling off and not standing to well .these guys are really going to be for show .

also I do like the look of Devie . but i'm not sure why the resoning behind the not so nice colour change now .

Its called 25 years of high standards in engineering and fan loyalty. Something WORTH preserving.

Paint job could be MUCH stronger. I'm waiting for someone else to buy him and give him some decent decos.
