TCC 2009 Final Combiner Exclusive Now Arriving

Recommended Posts

Thanks to an anonymous tipster for letting us know that the final Transformers Collectors Club exclusive figure Heatwave is now arriving in mailboxes. The following is what he said about the figure: "Heatwave is based of the Transformers Energon Bruticus Maximus body mold (a variant of a military missile launching tank)...Read more.

I think I've voiced this before but I cant say I'm keen on the new head style wise its jarring with the body design but other wise hey for a free toy it ain't bad

is this the last combiner exclusive for TCC or is it the last one for the year

I'm pleased with my combiner. Now that this is over I can't wait to find out about next year's "free" toy.

However, I don't think anyone has cause to say that these Energon combiners are better than any of the combiners in G1. I always didn't like Hasbro's attempt at hands and feet for these combiners. Now that I see it in person, it's even more ridiculous. The legs of the combined bot have to splayed outward in order for it to stand, something that never had to be done in G1. Hip and neck articulation is the only upgrade from G1 combiners, and even G1 Devastator had elbow articulation. The only thing that's actually better about these combiners are robot modes of the individual robots.

This is the last of the combiner pieces. With this guy the entire gestalt is complete.

It's been an interesting 5 years getting this guy (sadly mine hasn't arrived yet). I do hope for next year's freebie that they lay off the clear plastic.

It must be the lighting and few reused parts from the regular Energon combiners.

The one I have looks exactly like the one in the allspark.com picture.

Why am I thinking Predaking when I look at this!?!
