INCREDIBLEY easy mod to fix Sluslinger's arms!

Recommended Posts

Alright, all yea need is some clear nail polish. Then all you gotta do is apply a light coat on the peg that connects the arms to the main body, let it dry and VOLIA! No more popage! I did this to mine and it works great!

you better be right or I will cry

a better question is why do you have nail polish BG

I figured that would do it. Glad to know it works. Time to borrow the wife's nail polish when she isn't looking.

Hmmm, maybe I could try that on Meisters arms. They pop off too.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!! :clap :tflaugh

A good question, but seriously... generally it's a common method for tightening ball jointed figures. Apply a coat or two of clear nail polish and it fixes the problem entirely. Often the results are better than new. :) Also works for stuff like tightening peg/hole relations as in this case.

Give it a shot, just make sure to let it dry completely before popping the stuff back on.

Dabbing Slugslinger with nail polish is not as difficult as stealing nail polish from the matriach of the house. I'll give it a try if I can.

Yup, yup!

I just finished fixing:

RiD Side Burn: he could barely hold a stable sitting position, and now he stands heroically.

G2 Space Case: he couldn't stand up at all. now he's as strong as my brand new TFU version.

TM2 Blackarachnia: she couldn't support her own weight in either mode. Now she can stand up in both!

RiD Megatron KO ("Space Warriors", from Big Lots): he couldn't stand up well 'cause his ankles were loose, and one of the little beast arms that form his "belt" was completely loose. Now he stands up good, and the belt stays in place)

"Space Warriors" mini-gestalts, also from Big Lots: various parts of them were very loose. took 'em apart, applied the polish to various joints/hinges, and voila! a damned sight better than before.

I'm using Sally Hansen "Dries Instantly" clear nail-polish top-coat. It dries in 30 seconds, and has so far done WONDERS for the bots I've used it on. My next repair job is gonna be my TFU Omega Prime, 'cause he gots major joint issues--primarily his hips and knees.

Problem with using superglue or any glue is that glue is actually an acid designed to partially desolve whatever you apply it to, allowing it to harden and reform.
