That's about 4 shots, but all those users are extra accounts he created to rate his videos up and make himself feel good, so I don't think those count.

@Goziboy: pardon me, I'm new here, and not really a fan of the Bay film. But what is it about the guy's opinions that you hate? That he claims to speak for all TF fans when he seems to know nothing past the G1 cartoon, or that he hates everything Bay and that TF is now Ruined Forever in his opinion? Or is his spoiler inaccurate?

Funny thing though, he mentions that Arcee is a triple combiner; so Arcee's Reflector now?

Well movie 1 Megs isn't that bad. I like it. No transformer could be as bad as Universe Galvatron or even MP Megatron. [...]

WUH WHAT ??? I want that guy and I've not yet seen a single picture or media that'd change anything on my oppinion of that figure being awesome !

If you 've got one and don't like it I'll gladly take him off your shoulders :sneak

Sorry Schlecki02, I meant Transformation wise. Figure wise he's cool, just a little too lanky.

In resonse to RomXXII: It's a combination of everything you posted lol. He knows nothing of the original cartoon and his claims he makes are just devoid of common sense. Like the character designs, personalities, settings, plot etc. He's just an idiot and he's constantly blaming ALL OF US that we are the problem and we're not fans. He needs to shut up. He's like an annoying pimple on your butt that no matter how many times you pop it, it comes back week after week and you sit down on it every day and it feels like an ant just nipped your ass cheek.

@Godziboy: Ah, thanks for clearing things up.

In fairness, he does make some points which I agree with; I have a strong dislike for the 07 film myself, because of the jittery camerawork, poor framing, bot designs, poor bot character development and an excessive amount of human characters that, honestly, the movie could've done without. I do admit that the movie isn't without its merits; I enjoyed some aspects of it, namely the presence of Megan Fox, Peter Cullen reprising OP, little throwaway scenes like the killer Nokia N91, Dispensor, Barricade referring to Sam by his username, and the fist-bump Sam gets from his dad. Hell, when Lebouf was dry-humping Megan Fox inside BB, I wanted to give him a fist bump. However, IMHO these positives weren't enough to offset what I felt were glaring negatives (see above). In other words, yes, I probably would've enjoyed the film if they had at least kept the camera from shaking too much and kept the bots mostly in frame.

But I digress, back to youtube guy. As I mentioned, some of the points he made are similar to my own views of the movie, and the Bay franchise in general. However I think what made him a tough sell is delivery. Instead of a well-informed discussion of why he thinks the Bay franchise is not up to snuff, we get a weird mix of pomposity, loud, repetitive ranting, and a helluva lot of stuttering. I couldn't even watch past the 2nd vid.

This claim he makes annoys me the most: (Warning: Spoilers)

"So, Optimus is out for most of the film? What kind of Bullshit is that!?"

He is reffering to that one scene in the movie when Prime goes up against Starscream, Megatron and Blackout While about to finish off Screamer Megatron impales him and Prime goes into stasis lock and won't come back till the end of the movie. So off he goes making a big deal of it. Does he remember in the 1987 film Optimus Prime got KILLED OFF IN THE FIRST 20 MINUTES OR SO, AS WELL AS THE MAIN G1 CAST?!

I don't see whats wrong with the designs of the bots either. Please state your claim RomXXII, you seem to be the only intelligent disliker of the 07 film than the other retards *cough* GEEWUNNERS *cough*.

Not only that his bitching on Devastator, Sideswipe and the entire 'Bot and 'Con cast. People need to realize this is not Generation 1. The movies are there own universe in the Transformers franchise, like the original cartoon, Beast Wars, Unicron Trilogy etc. They expected the movie to be like a carbon copy of the cartoon. All that matters about the main characters in a franchise is they need to have a similar-if-not-dead-on personality from their first appearance.

Look at Ironhide, still the trigger-happy ass kicking Autobot he was in G1. Jazz kept it cool at all times, Bumblebee is somewhat young and energetic, Ratchet is a medic, Optimus is still the courageous leader (Even though he didn't stand much of a chance against Megatron)

Now onto the Decepticons, Megatron may not be the best looking of all of them in the franchise but he's still cruel, wruthless, and leads without mercy. Starscream is still trying to oust Megatron and personally I like the direction they're (Michael Bay and Co.) taking him. Seeing both leaders wrong and thinking he's better than both of them.

So Cumonass, you're not a fan. You were never a fan, and will never be a fan. Don't blame us, blame yourself for being too stuck up and attached to your childhood so much it gets the best of you and you critisize everything the owners of this franchise, who have nursed Transformers for the past 25 years and brought them back into fame after the mediocre job they did with the Unicron Trilogy, have created.

If there's anything I will agree on, it will be that the ending could have been a bit better. Actually it should hav happened like in the game where Prime gets the upper hand and beats down Megatron. Then Megatron is about to make the final movie and Prime punches the Allspark into his chest. Other than that I enjoyed the film, it's action (You are right about the camera movement it was a little annoying) and it's humor (Loved the hide-and-seek bit at the Witwicky's house) was very good. Hopefully in the new movie they will go the extra mile with character development.

My final verdict: He has no right to complain. No right at all. Again Cumonass, don't blame Hollywood, blame it's directors. But if the majority of Earth likes it and you (Cumonass) and most of your opinion is BS, blame yourself.

Chopped up your post for ease of reply:

Agreed. By the time TFTM rolled in, OP already had 2 seasons worth of awesomeness behind him, so his death, aside from serving Hasbro's purpose of getting him out of the way to sell the Season 3 toys, provided a very strong emotional scarring impact. I'm guessing this is what they're trying to do. Hell, hasn't every TF continuity killed off Prime? This is par for the course, far as I'm concerned.

I don't see whats wrong with the designs of the bots either. Please state your claim RomXXII, you seem to be the only intelligent disliker of the 07 film than the other retards *cough* GEEWUNNERS *cough*...

Regarding the look of the bots:

a) Ugly alien horror look - specifically for the Decepticons, which, from what I understand, is supposed to dehumanize them and scare the audience. Sorry, I like my Decepticons with personality, from the very first impression. Dehumanizing their appearance makes it hard for me to connect with them as 3-dimensional characters; as Rumble once put it, "hey, nobody calls Soundwave unchrasimatic!"

b) Silvery metal exposed internals - combined with shaky and poorly framed shots, means you can barely tell who's fighting who, much less who's winning. Most evident in the Megs-Jazz massacre, where it took me a while to realize that Megs wasn't just flailing one of his arms about.

c) Keeping things to scale - Since Bay wanted Prime to be as close as possible in height to Megs and Starscream, this meant that Starscream's robot mode had to compress from his rather large alt mode, giving him a look that one could describe as "a robotic turkey" or "a gorilla with chicken legs." I would've preferred a much shorter Prime if it meant breaking Starscream's streamlined look; after all, it did help accentuate his character's slimy, treacherous nature.

d) the split windshield/hood - I don't know why, but this seems to be a major design feature of the movie. It's most jarring for me on Ironhide, where his hood/engine becomes his shoulder pads. For me, it made the bots look like they were part of a bad road accident. Highlighted even more by item (b).

All that matters about the main characters in a franchise is they need to have a similar-if-not-dead-on personality from their first appearance...

Agreed with the Autobots, since (a) they're pretty anthropomorphic despite the overriding design aesthetic (see item (a) on bot design above), and (b) they did get sufficient dialogue and non-combat screentime.

Disagree with the Decepticons, since the only characters that got any significant non-combat screentime were Barricade, Frenzy and Megatron. SS gets only a few lines in which is hardly enough to establish his treacherous nature. It's not enough that he says he should lead the Decepticons, he should put it into action, or at least, fail miserably at doing so. Plus Charlie Adler could've channeled some Latta, like what Tom Kenny did for Animated. But that's just my preference.

If there's one thing I'm thankful for, it's that this movie's financial success paved the way for TF:Animated, one of the best reimaginings and fanwankiest continuity IMHO.

...I enjoyed the film, it's action (You are right about the camera movement it was a little annoying) and it's humor (Loved the hide-and-seek bit at the Witwicky's house) was very good. Hopefully in the new movie they will go the extra mile with character development.

Ugh, the hide-and-seek wasn't my style, nor the peeing. BB playing wing-bot for Sam, the Witwicky fist-bump seal of approval for Michaela, Turturro mistaking Nokia for a Japanese company, those were funny.

...don't blame Hollywood, blame it's directors.

Considering Orci and Kurtzman also wrote Star Trek and that was pure win, I strongly suspect that most of what I hate about Bay's TF is really Bay's fault. Considering I never liked anything he made after The Rock...

But if the majority of Earth likes it and you (Cumonass) and most of your opinion is BS, blame yourself...My final verdict: He has no right to complain. No right at all.

Er, not really most of the planet; Flixster says 4 of 5, while Rotten Tomatoes says 57% out of a possible 100. So he has a right, he just has to minimize the repetitive rants, and blaming the TF community for the movie's success. He's not winning any fans, even from the anti-Bay crowd.

Exactly RomXXII! Spot on well thought out arguement!

You must understand the movie had a small budget and so not enough screen time for the Bots. But I'm sure from what I've heard, you will be much more pleased with Revenge of The Fallen than the first movie. Plus the first movie is an introduction into the movie portion of the TF franchise which is why it may started off a little slow. This movie they're gonna go all out. Especially with a massive budget.

You have to admit this was freaking hilarious during the Witwicky house scene:

Ironhide: (Powers up cannons) The parents are very irritating, may I take them out?!

Ratchet: (Shoving Ironhide's cannon into the window) Yeah, yeah!

Optimus Prime: Ironhide, you know we don't harm humans! What is with you!?

Ironhide: Well, I'm just saying we could, it's an option.

And also extactly about Cumonass disliking it. Just his idiotic reasons behind it all. He just claims Bullshit and doesn't support his reason why it is. "I think it's stupid" or "It's not G1" are not valid reasons.

:deadhorse :deadhorse :deadhorse

I disagree, for two reasons: Orci and Kurtzman. The very same writing team managed to not only pen an enjoyable action movie, but they also managed to fanwank themselves all over the place, and establish most, if not all of the Enterprise bridge crew's personas, based partly on the TOS portrayals, and at the same time, providing more depth, as in the case of Uhura.

So we know these guys can write an intro movie and get proper characterization in all in one go. That didn't happen in the '07 film, and Star Trek shows that they didn't have an excuse, they really could've done better.

As for youtube boy, I tried watching his other vids (couldn't continue with the ROTF one, too annoying); guess what? Same ol' shite, just letting the hate out and ranting needlessly in a pompous, authoritarian tone, like someone died and made him God of Cinema. Oh, and I noticed there was this one guy,

jedivisconti, who keeps posting endless comments on his behalf. I smell sock puppet!!!!!

Seriously though, you should just avoid his channel like the plague. He's just a wannabe Ebert. He may be right, but with all his foaming-at-the-mouth vitriol, nobody will agree with him.
