I think we are all kidding ourselves if we say we are not going to buy like every figure in this line. When do the figures get released, the end of May? We're going to humming and drumming over the toys for a month and then as soon as the movie comes out, we are going to all over them and bitching 'til this time next year over why stores cannot seem to keep these guys in stock? I admit, I am not going to be buying everyone. I really don't think I need to be buying ever Bumblebee or that craptacular Barricade with the long arm headlight things, that's just silly. But you bet I'll be buying every Constructicon and Sideswipe and the three motorcycles, Sideways, Prime & Jetfire, Megatron as a tank now(very cool... at least I cal tell what it is supposed to be this time. Not like the last movie. "Oh look he transforms into a big Cybertronian plane thing???), and the Fallen will be a must as well. And then after all the hype has cleared, I'll go back pick up a duplicate of every Constructicon and figure out a way to make the non-combining version combine!

People are going to buy what ever they want, but I however will not spend anything on the sequel toys. I'll be honest, some of the figures do look good (leader Prime, Jetfire and Starscream) but I am at a point in my life where I would much rather hold onto my money than spend it on plastic figures. I'm 30, I have a mortgage, I'm back in school to get my teachers certification, and my girl just moved in with me and we are planning on relocating to the Tampa area once I am done with school. I think its time my "hobby" (or obsession) takes a back seat to more grown up things. I however am not getting rid of my G1 figures (Hell no, ain't gonna happen) because of the nostalgia they give me as a kid from the 80's, but all the other stuff doesn't really have that great a connection to me.

 

I bought a few figures from the first film, Leaders Prime and Megatron, Deep space Starscream, Bumblebee, Barricade and deluxe Brawl. Out of all of those i only paid full price for both leader figures and you know what, if I had to get rid of them I would never miss any of them.

 

I am not buying any ROTF figures because I hate the designs, hate Bay and hate what they did to my childhood.....I just think eventually you move on and only collect the things you like. I grabbed the first movie figures I had because I got caught up in movie mania, but with all the things going on in my life right now, especially with the way the economy is, there is no way I am spending money on things that will end up sitting in the basement.....That money is better off sitting in the bank for my Florida fund.

I'll buy him, not because I like him (which I DO!) but because if the Fan Projects Armour's have taught us anything, Wait long enough and EVERY thing you wanted for a transformer WILL come true.

 

I mean look at animated.. they gave use a car Arcee...A CAR they've NEVER done that so far in 25 years!!

 

So it's just a matter of time before SOMEONE makes a kit to add to the Constructicon's to MAKE them combine, its just a matter of time. So I'll buy him the moment I see him.

I'm pretty much on the same page as a lot of you; I'll only be getting about a handful of movie fig. I know leader OP and sideswipe for sure. Soundwave and voyager megs are maybe, and some scouts that I have seen (I don't remember them all right now).

 

Honestly, with designs like Mudflap, Skids, and a wheelie that looks like WALLE's cousin... I don't know who Bay has got designing these characters.

Another stubby robot? I mean, I loved Bonecrusher, he was one of my favorites.. I guess I'll have to wait and see how this guy moves.. but seriously? Wheres the visual variety? I guess they must of ran out of ideas or something..

I don't know why you guys are so shocked that the figures they said wouldn't combine from day one DON'T COMBINE! I mean, seriously, it's Hasbro talking to us here, not Bay.

 

Shocked? Who's shocked? Doesn't look like anyone was shocked with this, I'm 100% sure every body already knew they weren't gonna combine before coming into this thread, but that doesn't mean they still can't be DISAPPOINTED. So yeah, I'm not shocked at the fact that they can't combine, just disappointed that a good looking figure doesn't have the ability to so. It would be like IF Happy Meals no longer came with a toy (or something like that aha)

I never got Bonecrusher. I didn't like the toy. But if they'd have done him right, and at the right size (leader class) I'd have bought him in a heartbeat. Bonecrusher was probably my biggest frustration with the movie toys last time- followed by Blackout and Starscream. All three deserved toys on par with the new leader Prime we're getting.

 

I guess if Mixmaster ends up looking like a voyager version of what Bonecrusher SHOULD have been last time I'll probably end up getting him. But that first picture looks kinda awkward.

get real with your stupid statements, he made a bad film with lots of mistakes and inconsistancies, nothing more.

he will prob make more, wether tf2 will be bad or not we`ll find out in june.

 

 

at the end of the day the films are for general populace not transformers nerds, and the toys are made for children ages 6 and up, so stop being so melodramatic.
