dont get me wrong so far the repaints/remolds have been great, and had just reasons for doing them. but for the bt line to keep growing and last for a while they cant just keep repainting the same mold again and again. as a community transformers thrive on originallity. i know we get new bt molds regularly but how many repaints do we have....

almost half are repaints already. i still think the repaints are good like swindle and deadend. but we still need originals

With a high profile line like BT I highly doubt we'll see a toy that doesn't share traits with another toy in the line.

 

Don't forget we also have the Honda S2000 mold ("Windcharger") and a possible MIni Cooper mold to look forward to.

 

I would *almost* classify Swipe and Dead End as different toys - especially when you look at them in vehicle mode. They're so different from one another...even though the robot forms look similar

I agree with you completely with Sideswipe and Dead End...they are so very different.

 

I want a Sunstreaker, repaint or not. I'm holding out for a few months, then if he looks like a "no-go" I'll kitbash a Dead End and Sideswipe into him.

 

Also, to me Silverstreak is also very different and not just a repaint/remold (whatever you want to call it). I like Silverstreak more than Smokescreen personally, because to me his head design and his overall appearance are better than Smokes. Far away Smokescreen just looks way too cluttered and a bit "ehn" while Silver looks just plain nice.

 

My big complaint about Silver is that if you drop him/knock him off a high place, his paint chips VERY VERY easily. I just knocked mine off his shelf yesterday, and BOY his rear bumper now has 5-6 paint chips and his spoiler has a big scratch on it.
