First pics of Honda S2000 Windcharger!

Recommended Posts

I like him a lot. Overdrive head, yeah sure whatever...I'm betting there's a story behind that in Binaltech. Probably some mix-up with the sparks/personality data and Windcharger got Overdrive's body, who knows.

Or it could have always meant to be Windcharger and they wanted a better look, so took cues from both the old WC and Overdrive. Either way it doesn't matter to me, Cause I like him.

I like the idea of making more accessories to a point, like I dig the idea of a shield, but I hope they don't start putting in missiles and other projectiles.

You know as someone mentioned:

The last few seem to be getting away from the characters we all know, so could this actually be a ploy to start breaking away from the mold of "G1-based" and start introducing "newer characters", such as Hot Shot or others maybe? If it is, and done smart, I'll buy into no problems.

I like him a lot too although I'm not too keen on the helmet design and the visor. Over all though it has exceeded my expectations of the earlier prototype pics and this will become a part of my BINALTECH collection. Now that they have dont a Honda S-2000 my only hope is that there will be a CLIFFJUMPER done from a Civic SI mold. I must have a Hatchback!! (Luvs My GTI VR6). :tftongue

I think this guy is pretty sweet. I can't say that it's my favorite, but I like the robot mode quite a bit. I agree with the general consensus that the soft top is definitely a weakness.

Meh... I'll get him, but compared to the others I'm not liking the direction this line is taking. First Grimlock, then Ravage, and now this. They should start giving these guys new identities; the resemblance to their original counterparts is really diminishing.

The original Windcharger looked crappy. Why would they upgrade him with that crappy block head? I think his abdomen looks enough like his old face to make me happy.

Now that I see him colored and see that he has a shield, I think this is one of the coolest figures they've made. He kinda reminds me of Sideburn the way Tracks reminds people of RiD Prowl.

They could be following in the time honoured tradition of TF screw ups lol, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were mixed up by the factory from the outset of Transformers. (Notice that its Sunstreaker with the jet pack in robot mode despite what the tech specs said)

;)

I agree on the hatchback thing, Ive always had a soft spot for fast little hot hatches. And I think the civic SI would fit Cliffy WAY better than that dorky new beetle Ive heard suggested.

I can't stop looking at the auction pics now that they've colored him he looks so much better. I can't wait to have him on my shelf. Sideswipe might go MIA when I get him. I am absolutely loving these pics.

ok I love the design, but how useful would a vinyl convertible top be as a shield

I'm sure it's made of some form of "Super-Cloth" that can resist heat, cold, electric-based weapons and the like.

But man he just looks better and better every time...hehe...

You know....the more I look at Alternators Windcharger, the less I think he was ever meant to be Overdrive. Yeah the shape of the head with the visor is really similar to Overdrive...But doesn't the entire design of the toy remind you of someone else? The chest plate, the shape of the head (minus the visor), and the overall transformation of this character looks to me like it was based on Mach alert/RID Prowl.
