Nice...but I still prefer the 'original' Animated color...to me it brought something different & fresh to the Shockwave character, not to mention the fact that he's a freakin' quadruple changer! :)

I am a sucker for G1 repaints... I wish they gave him yellow eye though...

I'd have to go with the G1 repaint.

They both look good, but I like the "feel" of the purple color scheme over the pastel-like colors of the animated shock-wave.

The original's colors a bit darker than that. But you should get at least one version of :animated Shockwave. He's that awesome.

 

 

A darker purple would look even better.

Would it be easy to deepen that purple if you get the G1 shock-wave?

It comes with Activators Ratchet... So not really a bad deal...

I finally got mine, and I must say: Grapewave definitely has a different feel to him than Shackwave, much more identifiable as Shockwave, and less 'blah.' The purple suits him, and it suits this mold. It could stand to be a darker shade of purple, but what the hey. His limits as far as arm and leg articulation are much more readily ignored in the repaint. I'd have to say that I like the repaint better than Shackwave--who is now going to permanently stay in infiltration mode.

 

Kind of wish he came with a different Activator, as I already have Activator 'Bee...but he's pretty cool, too, so it's all good.

As for the color dispute; I don't care what color he is in the cartoon, he looks boring in gray. The purple looks way better and is a nice homage. But I do agree with the thoughts that his eye should be yellow.
