Does anybody know how to fasten the waist armor securely, or is it supposed to fall off every time NP is moved???

 

All you have to do is take your thumbs, take the waist piece and push down with your thumbs. There should be a snap and it should be on there nice and snug. If not you might have gotten a defective piece.

Oh yes...the armor actually looks better on HIM than on Ultra Magnus...fits him better, IMO. Reduces his poseability some, but not enough to take anything away from him.

Speaking of UM I actually lost his BFG the other day or thought I lost it since I put it aside a month or so ago. Then when I was setting my displays up I couldn't remember where I put it. For almost a week I looked in every parts box I have but it ended up being in my shirt drawer. :tflaugh

 

As for the armor I think both of them have strong points. UM obviously made way for the Nemesis armor to exist I think he looks very much like how UM should look. I loved the fact that they gave up a face plated face for Nemesis Prime, and aside from the helmet I think the armor makes Nemesis look more like his IDW appearance. In fact I'm thinking of having someone pick up the Powered Commander Armor at Canada's TFcon.

Oh, don't get me wrong: The armor looks incredible on UM...it just seems to suit NP better for some reason. At least the ARMOR, I should say. The helmet-even in darker colors-still screams Ultra Magnus...even with the faceplate.

 

I tried posing NP with the BFG...just can't get into it that much. It's a little TOO big. I pose him with his sword for the most part, or the windvane cannon. Proportionately better, IMO. And there's something about an evil Optimus Prime clone wielding an enormous sword that hits my sweet spot just right.

 

Actually, I've got another question: a little bag of pegs came with my Shadow Commander armor. Does anyone know what this is supposed to be used for???

 

A little off-topic here: hopefully, an armor/trailer set is made for Optimus Prime in his Powermaster iteration. That would be worth the price of the admission alone. I'm kind of salivating over the Classics Rodimus (what a great figure!) trailer/armor set.

Those pegs are for putting into the holes where they used screws to hold the NP armor together whereas they didn't use any screws on the UM armor. It seems kinda divided between people on either to use or not use them. I used them and he looks fine, but I never plan to do any customizing of mine.

 

Also, there are 2 different trailers coming for OP, one from Fansproject and another from a group I cannot remember the name of, but they(the later) are on pre-order over at BBTS.

Decided to buy one on eBay after the announcement of Powered Commander for TFCon (which I've pre-ordered) because well...I need the set or else its just silly! I'm looking forward to comparing it to UM which is just the apple of my TF eye heh. I like the fact FP makes new accessories with every repaint they do of this mold(another way they kick Hasbro's arse).

Just a warning........Sometimes the clips inside the armor(they hold them on the the fist) fist can come out.It'd be wise to super glue them in if your going to use the pegs to fill the screw holes.Its a B to get them out once in.Trust me.
