He's not bad. I might get him, or I might not.

he's certainly a far cry from the vicious survivalist Wheelie was originally supposed to have been. But then very few of the TFormers really are very true to their old namesakes.

Which raises an interesting point, I thought the writers were supposed to be hard core G1 transformers fans. That things have strayed so far from the roots makes me wonder if maybe that's just a marketing line...

Original Transformers are typical japanese Super Robots.

Movie Transformers are insect-like transforming mechanical things with crank faces...

I prefer Super Robots.

I'm a HUGE G1-phile writing a massive fanfic about it, and I still don't want to write a maniacal Megatron or prick Prowl, so I go my own way, just like these writers have.

And Wheelie = More mine than any other toy in the line. WALL-E was awesome.

Can't wait till they introduce Elita-1, who will be a white, smooth cylinder with a computerized face that folds up into a white trash can.

Wheelie: ELiiiittttaaaa?

Elita: Wheel-E!

Wow. Ugly in it's own right and uglier than G1 Wheelie. That's quite an accomplishment.

Ya know, I'm not sure if that is s'posed to be an homage/rip-off from Wall-e or Johnny 5. :wtf

I see where your going with this and it brings to mind a certain remake 10 years ago concerning an Americanized super green lizard (That movie still aggravates me). As for the TF flick(s), I turn off a lot of my ingrained fandom knowledge so I can enjoy them, otherwise I'd be all bitchy about it.

holy blazes that's one cool little dude :rock
