So this has been bugging me ever since i saw the new trailer for the movie. I wanna know who the hell the Audi R8 is, and i dont even know why. And for some dumb reason the back of my brain thinks its Sunstreaker( Completely absurd i know!!!) But i cant get my head around it any thoughts? :tfgrin

Most people seem to think it is Barricade with a new alt mode.

The Audi figure that I've seen pics of (can't remember where i seen them :emo ) is of Barricade

It wouldn't be an Autobot just on the simple fact alone that ALL the Autobots w/ the exceptions of Prime/Jetfire/Ironhide/Wheelie/Arcee are all Chevy vehicles. It would just ruin the trend that they have going there.

 

I'm placing my bets it's a Decepticon. Whether or not it's Barricade is up for debate. If it is, it would make sense if he's trying to evade the Autobots for a while to take on a different alt mode (thus leaving the whole police car option open for an eventual movie Prowl).

It's Definetley a Decepticon. There are three facts that support this theory:

1. His eyes are red.

2. Why would an Autobot cause that much destruction to a building?

3. Why were the Auto-Fembots chasing him?

It wouldn't be an Autobot just on the simple fact alone that ALL the Autobots w/ the exceptions of Prime/Jetfire/Ironhide/Wheelie/Arcee are all Chevy vehicles. It would just ruin the trend that they have going there.

See i got the fact that is was a Decepticon , but i guess i was trying to think like M. Bay.

 

1: Sunstreaker could have always been a Decepticon but he chose to be an autobot.

 

2:There were shots somewhere online with the Corvette and the Audi R8 one on one with each other(i was thinking sideswipe trying to get his brother back with the autobots?)

 

But now that you all mention Barricade it all seems to make alot more since now.

Only for the simple fact you did not see him at all in the last 20 min of the movie so he could have gone off to get an alt. form to hide from the Autobots until Starscream returned with an army. :justprime:

Notice I said Chevy, not GM. Though technically Chevy is part of GM, Ironhide is a GMC and Jazz was a Pontiac. Those three are all part of GM. That's why I excluded him along with the other exclusions.

 

However, here were just getting into a game of semantics, so let's just leave it at that.

 

Anyways, looking at those pics, it most likely is Barricade.
