I'm not exactly sure what your point is, so let me just say this:

 

I think Alternators (Battle) Ravage is an example of Hasbro laughing their asses off at the fans.

 

"Oh, you want Decepticon Alternators with original head sculpts? Here, have A CAT HEAD!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

I agree, and think it's a goofy idea to put a cat's head on a car. To me it shows that they're just spitting out any decepticon Alterntors they can think of, and it shows that no matter what they'll all be cars, even if it's for a TF that shouldn't be a car.

I think it's a test to see how popular it'll be. Hopefully he won't be popular at ALL so they'll go back to making REAL GEEWUN BOTS!! :P

But the other alts arn't geewun they don't have EXACTLY the same alt mode and EXACTLY the same transformation. Ravage is the ONLY alt I can except b/c it is so FAR from G1 that I can apreasiate it as somthing NEW and unique.

I can understand why Takara/Hasbro might be kinda throwing a loop, and I don't blame them.  Everyone on this board cried for Decepticons and then we get Dead End and Swindle so everyone thanks them right?  WRONG!!  I have heard so many complaints about how Dead End was Sunstreaker and Swindle Trailbreaker.  Now this, everyone asked for more Decepticons and something different, so be thankful!  If you don't like it, don't buy it.  Money talks.

Anyway, I'll be passing on Kitty-con here.

I think the complaints are more out of worry that these guys took the place of Sunstreaker and Trailbreaker. I love both of these cons and Ravage, but I definitely want to see the SS and TB versions of the Viper and Jeep molds. Releasing them in these colors ALSO is no problem, I just dont like my options reduced is all. And besides, Ill probaby buy that Jeep mold no matter how many times they remold/recolor it, irregardless of who it turns out to be. Although I really want one as Sandstorm....

I think these what if topics are stupid, what if they did this, what if we never got tracks. blah blah. Hasbro can make which ever charactors they want. It will only effect how well they sell.

I`m glad i`ts gonna be a different color at least. I`m gonna fabricate Wildriders head for it anyway just as I altered Deadend`s. Either way, I win :yay

 

Who knows...I`ll even buy the red Version of JAZZ, not Meister in my book, and fab Wincharger or Cliffjumpers Head!

How many of us decided to skip this one?

 

Personally, I felt alts should of been Autobots only though.. Decepticons work if there's a story going on.. but when you just got cars, you should stick with Autobots.. going Autocon is kinda difficult.. because all of G1 cons were mostly jets and construction vehicles and the like..

 

Alternators/Binaltech should of been only a collectors line.. thats it. Some cool modern take on a classic character..

 

But... thats my spin on things..

Not me. I like it because its different. I like it because it was unexpected. Skip it if you want to, but that just means more for me.

i have to be honest i kinda thought it was cool that they made it into ravage. i have a decepticon sticker on my car, a black 2002 mazda protege and though it is no vette, i have been calling it ravage since i bought it 2 years ago. but, that does not mean i am going to pick this up, the only color of this mold i am probably going to get is the blue mold, just for principle. hasbro/takara are just tweaking autobots into decepticons. they are in no way created decepticons. they really should have just kept the al/bt line as an autobot exclusive line for collectors. that way many of those extra smokescreen and sideswipe figs you see in the stores could have been tweeked into other characters. (i know about streak, but a prowl out of the same mold would have been cool too. have you guys seen some of the custom/kitbashes.)

 

it would be cool to see the next or future alt/bt released as a decepticon first. has/tak should do it to see how high the demand would be for a decepticon only figure.
