I hope the alternators line gets bigger and bigger, and that they stay true to the roots!

 

Alternators in popular factory colors. This could be good marketing for the car manufacturers, and a good way to get more adults into the hobby. Who wouldnt want to see their own car as a Transformer? And (this is a slight rant/ramble, but...) any car company who isnt begging Takara to make their products into a TF, or any toy for that matter is a heap of braindead buffoons. What better way to get your car inbedded in a kid's (read future buyer's) head so deeply? People forget nauseating jingles and stupid commercials and mission statements, but if they voluntarily buy a scaled down replica of your vehicle and look at it and play with it on a regular basis, its gonna take root deep in your brain, and come back when its time for a new set of wheels. I have a BS in advertising, so I know a little of what Im talking about on this one.

 

Here's some others besides the monster Jeep (from my alt modes post) that I think would be good...

 

350Z--I almost dont care what they name it, Takara's nuts if they dont do this one! But Jazz if hes not the RX-8, or Wheeljack come to mind.

 

Honda Element--Skids, who else? It just screams his name too loud not to do it. A sorta minivan all over again.

 

Bumblebee--Focus SVT. In yellow, this is him. Small, but fast this time around. Or, he could be a PT cruiser. Second choice, but if done, it wouldn't work for any other character. I hate the new beetle anyway. Looks like a clown fart on wheels.

 

Dodge Ram--I hear talks are already going on this one, but I love that truck enough for another mention here. Make it a single cab 4x4 though. I hate X-tra cabs, and the proportions would work better anyway. Could work for several characters. Brawn? Trailbreaker? Ironhide, even.

 

Hummer--Grimlock! Dude, its totally him. I can just see it turning into a big T-Rex, no robot mode.

 

Toyota Celica--Windcharger or Cliffjumper. OR, all black and turns into a panther. Ravage. I love the shape of this car, it needs to be Alternator-ized.

 

Arcee--Could be several cars here, but gotta be a ragtop. Im thinking S2000, or Mitsu. spider. Even the Chrysler Crossfire.

 

Acura RSX--Same as the Celica.

 

60's Muscle cars. I know Im not the only one who wants to see this! First choices would be a '71-74 Javelin or Barricuda. But anything from this era would make some good original characters. I dont really see any existing personalities fitting these too well.

 

So what do you guys think?

Honda Element??? That thing is one of the most unattractive cars/suvs ever made. Also you do know Skids was not a minivan but a compact car....a Honda City/Jazz to be more precise. So if skids was to be done over it would only make sense to use the current Honda Jazz/City.

I think Skids would be cool as a PT Cruiser. I know that it isn't exactly compact, but I think it would work.

The cobra concept would be cool as any one....I wouldn’t care what name Hasbro/Takara slapped on it. :thumb

 

As for the PT Cruiser, that car is way too much of a novelty car....and I think the novelty has worn of now....more than. Think we should look out side of the United States to find a sweet Compaq car that would fit Skids, as America doesn’t have cars that small(well any cool ones that is). :)

I'm too lazy to find it but Nissan made a concept truck called the Nissan Nails or something, I swear to ya, it could be Kup. It's very spiffy. I hope the pick-up alternator we're supposed to get down the line is named and styled after Kup.

Rabbit I know the one you are talking about, I saw a pic of it posted on another thread but I dont know where.

 

But it suits Kup perfectly.

 

I still think that Kup needs to be a old elcamino.

 

I am pushing this because that was my first car, and it was a P.O.S.
