After looking at DragonX76's checklists, I have been wondering just how many Transformers toys were ever made. By how many, I am talking about individual toys made for release.

Does any one have even a rough idea? Is it 100s or 1,000s or 10,000s of Transformers toys released?

If no one knows. Who would be into working on counting them all? Should we even try?

WJ

There has to be at least 1,000...if you count all the repaints, that is :tftongue

i have to know this.

but I wasnt to narrow it to indivigual robots themselves. no multipack, or minicon partner stuff.

HOW MANY TRANSFORMER ROBOTS ARE THERE. PERIOD.

break it down too. like Japan-balh blah. and America-blahblah. Europe-balhbalh.

you know what i mean.

I'll tell you this. I did it with just Optimus Prime/Convoy toys. There are at least 125 toys that I could find at the time. That's was about 1.5 years ago. There's got to be another 20 or so since.

But where would you start counting? Catalogs? How many toys does TFU.info have on it?

it has to be way more than 1,000.

I'm guessing atleast 8 - 10,000

Maybe we could make a list of all the series. Then split it up so people can work on chunks of it at a time?

Is too many an understatement?

I don't think that there is a true Transformer fan that hasn't wanted to compile a complete listing of every toy made. Many have started down this road...none have ever returned. I can't even get an accurate count on just the toys that I own :redface

Good luck people :thumb

OKay, this is instantly being changed from the list all TFs Ever Made Project to the No Bizzmoff's Allowed Project. :)

You have a point there. Who am I kidding? Jesus Christ out bid me in an auction on eBay the other day for a G2 Megatron go-bot. I guess God doesn't even know about them all? :tflaugh

Seriously, this can be done. There are some smart people here... or are there? Anywho, I would be happy with a number that was within a hundred (+/-) of the real number.

Do you want a list/count, including PVCs and what not? or strictly transformable TF actionfigures?..... i'll have a list for you tomorrow, I just have to look for the one I made.......... since I have about 96 % of all transformers.

Do you want a count of every individual figure, or boxed/cared set? meaning headmasters could be counted as 2 figures(the head and Robot) and could be counted as just one figure. and micromaster were 4 per pack and even in 6 packs.
